Who's on the shortlist for Woodward?
Not that I would think Jimbo would leave A&M for Lsu, but its not out of the realm of possibilties.

A buyout would be nice but it really doesn't mean anything. There are only a handful of programs that can pay him similar money even if they mortgaged everything. Any of those programs aren't going to let a $20 or $30 million buyout stop them.
A buyout for a coach only is effective when you are talking about a school that needs the money if they get their coach hired away from them. For us the financial impact of losing Jimbo isn't really the concern. Also, it's kind of like a guarantee.
We have jumped head first into the deep end of the pool, can't worry about how deep the water is now we are all in.

If I said I, no. I was trying to tweak the LSU guys some more. But tell me that wouldn't frick up their minds if Elko got two or more million (don't know what he gets now but I think it is over 1M). If Jimbo deserves a raise, all of them do.

I was just speculating about Elko when I suggested he was getting a raise. Of course it makes sense if Jimbo get a raise they all will. Can you imagine how that staff would feel if they didn't? But again the purpose of the post on the SEC Rant was to drive LSU fans nuts. It worked. Now LSU and every other school has to find money. Texags suggested OU and tu coming into the conference supplies enough extra cash to pay for the raises.

I don't either. But Lsu is a big job. Woody already hired Jimbo once. He gave him the first headline grabbing contract. You don't think he'd want to do it again if O fails? Who is going to excite fans and recruits more so than Jimbo?

I just pulled a 2.5 to 3 million dollar number out of my backside. That'd be quite a raise for Elko.

Jacoby didn’t make it to the game but Wiltfong had an update today with some good stuff, Perroni did throw in that tu was still a threat for him though.
