I would put Gilbert as the more likely DB in the finish. Probably not both.

We have 6 spots left. The following has all been rumored.

DL Jeudy
DB Gilbert
RB Johnson
WR Thomas
DL Malone
QB Transfer (Blackmon is rumored, but there are tons in the portal)
ATH Dawson
OT Moko
DB Arnold

If we get Malone that is a double win. Anchor the middle of our line, and keep him from improving OM's defense.

Jeudy
Gilbert
Malone
Johnson
Thomas
Arnold

That would be the ideal close to me

Just my opinion but I think Jeudy and Gilbert have signed already

My ideal finish on top of them would be Johnson Thomas Malone Arnold and Calzada stays. If Calzada leaves we do need a competent transfer QB who is willing to be a backup.

I think Arnold is a pretty big long shot and really like the speed Dawson brings. He has an element we are missing at WR at the moment

Question about the remaining class, don't we have 5 scholarship spots left? We've signed 19 so far, plan to grayshirt Crownover, and I thought we will have Kenneth Phillips to count towards this class.

I think maybe 6 because Fernando Garza is blue shirting? So he counts towards next year as well.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks

Well if we have 6 spots left, my wish list is

QB - transfer (assuming Calzada transfers)
RB - Johnson
OT - Moko
DL - Jeudy, Malone
S - Gilbert or Arnold

I think you're right. Reading between the lines makes you think they signed and they announce in Jan. And I like that close too. I think Thomas is a must get, over a Moko imo.

Elijah Blades deciding to come back in 2021 is like a free grad transfer. Hopefully a few more will make the same decision.

Hopefully Ke'Shun Brown does not. He was the one who threatened to stab ol Ags who were daring to express their opinion.

Where are you seeing if people are deciding to come back? I think Elijah Blades is/would be a huge huge deal if he comes back.

Blades was truly worried about COVID and trying to rehab his shoulder. It would make sense that he comes back.

Would be good for us too, if Myles Jones moves on we’d have him and Jaylon

With Blades coming back, suddenly the secondary is looking great instead of just solid now. And yes, I think Jeudy and Gilbert are already in the bag

I assume Leon is back too. Him and Richardson are plus safties. Another year of Jones, Young, George, and now Blades. Add in Deuce too. We can work with that.

Hopefully hansford comes back but our LB room is pretty solid. Defense will be good next year. Our success is gonna come down to how many Olinemen come back and who steps up for the ones that don’t return

What’s up with Brian Williams. Why is he birdied in the depth chart

He's been decent when he's played, he just hasn't been able to get on the field much. Between O'Neal having a solid season, Demani Richardson being a stud, and Antonio Johnson looking like a future star, Williams just hasn't earned a ton of PT. But it's not like he hasn't played.
