Not that bad yet. Okeke, Johnson and Hines are at least a starting 3 until the freshmen get up to speed.

By Clemson, I'd expect the starters to be Johnson, Hines and White.

I’m thinking McCoy or Williams announces tomorrow, and then the last one Friday, that way they all get their day in the spot light.

Are people saying McCoy is gone?

Supposedly McCoy was the MOST likely to declare out of all of the candidates.

What would really be the paintball round to the nuts would be if Madubuike declares (he's a RS-SO).

Yep. Sucks but not unexpected. Guess we will see if McCoy goes too.

Oof. That’s a lot of key players leaving early. Combine that with our schedule next year and 2019 might be a bit rough.

I don't think it sucks at all. You could actually make the argument that, had he decided not to go to the NFL, he was putting his pursuit of personal records ahead of what might be best for the team (development of the rest of the running backs, etc.).

Instead of making the entire 2019 season about, "get Trayveon the career rushing record" it's now a total team focus.

Every part of that twitter video was classy and gracious.

My sucks comment was just merely saying the situation stinks that we are losing another great player. Nothing more, you’re reading way too far into it.

I’ve stated on several of the other threads about players leaving early I don’t fault them one bit for going and getting paid and not risking injury, especially running backs where it’s well documented how short the average career is in the NFL for one of them.

And our coaching staff is far better than that, they wouldn’t compromise game plans or anything else in order “just to get a player a record”. Give Jimbo and his staff more credit than that, they play to win however it needs to be accomplished.

I agree that his twitter video was very classy and respectful, a lot of time and effort went into that, it’s probably why it took him so long to announce.

Players leaving early and getting drafted, seems like a double edged sword. Great for a recruiting tool, but, unless you have talented and developed players waiting to fill their shoes( like Bama), it can really hurt your chances of having elite seasons.

LSU has seen this happen to them over the past decade, they have been able to refill on defense most season, their offense has suffered a bit do to a combination of talent leaving early and having crappy OC.

Possible but unlikely IMO.

Fisherr always talks up getting to The League.

He uses it as a recruiting tool. Easier to get players in the nfl and just recruit even better talent than be selfish about it.

No. No you could not have. If Corbin was as good as you think he would have taken more carries from TWill. Acting like Williams returning would have been a bad thing for the team is about the dumbest take you've ever had.
