I’ll say this. Most employers will go along with the renegotiating thing once or twice with an employee. But when it happens 3 times in 3 years it burns a lot of bridges and would make it almost impossible to come back even if they match an offer.

For this reason I say Jimbo is out.

Wouldn't be shocked with him choosing either side. I'm just enjoying this whole situation and how upset it's got the fans of other schools.

Yeah you have to remember that FSU is countering our initial offer. It's been said we have no plan B but I disagree. I think plan B is to get another dump truck full of cash and park it in his driveway. I know, I know money isn't everything....

But I'm talking money in the form of guarantees around support staff and facility upgrades (when needed, we already have everything).

And when I say everything, I mean everything. I hadn't paid attention to how far ahead of EVERYONE else we pulled ahead because I basically only compare us to Texas and Alabama.

But my goodness,

1) We have the nicest stadium in the country (only Bama comes close)
2) Our weight room dwarfs what everyone else has as far as technology, square footage, etc. (I had no clue there were prominent P5 schools that didn't have football only weight rooms.)
3) Florida doesn't have an indoor facility? FSU just got one? Really?
4) We are one of what? 3 or 4 programs with a dedicated nutrition center for athletes.
5) We have a TV show and Aggie Fb Life is unparalleled by any program as far as social media presence. (This is before you factor in the SEC network)
6) Our HC recruits out of a MF'n helicopter.
7) We would have whatever else, it just doesn't exist yet.

What have you got for us tonight?

As of this morning every last person associated the A&M athletic department is operating under the assumption that Jimbo Fisher will have an office in Bright this time next week.

Fisher has told Woodward SOMETHING to warrant such confidence.

Luicci said it almost a week ago

He never sticks his neck out to far unless he actually has very definitive information, he’s the anti fat Ketchum, it’s got to be 99% for Luicci to type it

A more interesting point: I've been told Woodward first reached out to Jimbo back in September and this was going on under the table for months. By the time it became public, most of the details were already iron out.

In other words, Sumlin was all but done after UCLA

I think Woodward took the AD job under the assumption that he would be making a HC hire almost immediately. It's probably a surprise to him that it has taken this long.

Starkel getting hurt changes everything

With Starkel all year we might be 9-3

I’m almost happy for the way things turned out

Not me. I REALLY wanted this staff to make it. Of course the firing was the right thing, and I know I have a minority opinion on this board, but I think this team was so close to having a great year.

This is direct from Dot at Warchant, errors and all. Rest assured this is today's 9am cst update

Wednesday, Nov. 28 @ 10:00 a.m.

Good morning. Time for some coffee and nuggets.

Since last night, it's definitely shifted towards Fisher leaving for Texas A&M again. Heard from a couple sources that weren't sure before but are now convinced that Fisher will coach his last game Saturday. And independent source to Fisher confirmed the reason for the delay is because he's forced to wait for the contract situation in Texas to play out. More importantly, I was told that some of the family hangups that may have been an issue, have now been resolved (sounds like A&M is making some accommodations to help with this).

Also, signs inside the coaching offices point towards Fisher departing. Been told that recruiting meetings are virtually nonexistent and very little is being done on that front.

With a prevailing feeling that Fisher will be moving on, I suspect the administration will be moving forward with a coaching search. Even if Fisher reverses course and this works itself out, it certainly can't hurt to be prepared. Along those lines, look for us to release a coaching Hot Board in a day or two. Stay tuned....

Final Note: Been hearing there's a decent chance five-star QB Justin Fields would visit FSU should Willie Taggart get the job.

It’s never been in doubt, FSU has to spin this as best they can to not come out looking like they got slapped around

Get ready for more

“We offered to match A&Ms offer”

“We were prepared to give Fisher everything he wanted “
