Any top program would have done the same exact thing especially when he left for their biggest rival.
Golding beating Georgia mind fricked Kiffin. He texted the guy who runs the grove collective that Ole Miss was gonna get its arse beat versus Georgia and they won. It humiliated him.
Kiffin lost to Georgia during the regular season because Pete gave up 43 points.
Luckily, Pete was a little better on a neutral field.

Given Ole Miss success in the playoffs and rallying around the players and Kiffin’s shameful childish behavior afterwards, Ole Miss made the right decision.

Because neither school trusted Lane. OM feared he would have continued to recruit their roster, (he would have), LSU feared a deep playoff run might make him reconsider and stay and they didn't want a court battle. Haha on that one.

There seem to be a lot of folks here who believe Kiffin could have finished the season at Ole Miss and then left.
He was always going to have to stay or go. Finishing the season and then leaving wasn't an option.

There was a contract signed that LSU had to pay Lane for the money owed to him for the rebel victories in the playoff.
Either way I truly believe that if Ole Miss goes back to mediocrity they will regret that decision then.

I think he clashed with the boosters as well. I never understood why anyone thought he would stay in Oxford. The question was just always where would he go, not if he would stay.

When has Lane won a title? You do realize Nick Saban literally rehabilitated Kiffin’s career. He has been slowly rebuilding his reputation. Dude was nuclear after USC. But Saban gave him a chance and legit changed his entire career trajectory.
That should tell you all you need to know about Lane Kiffin. I wouldn't trust that MF'er as far as I could throw him. LSU will find out that truth, sooner or later.

No you are short sighted and cannot see that a person that has a family and responsibilities CHOSE to have those responsibilities. So if they CHOOSE to put those responsibilities first then that is a grown man still choosing to do whatever he wants. I don’t know about you but I don’t make decisions based on what I don’t want to happen. I make them based on what I do want to happen.

Responsibility is based on answering for the things you CHOOSE to become. If you accept a role, you accept the responsibilities that come with it.
I often don't like what I have to do for the things I'm responsible for. I thank God for making me capable of doing so and I do it any way.
