Overreacting to UNC/Clemson

First off, LSU defense is top-5. Holding anyone to 1 first down in a half and 3 first downs before the 4th quarter is impressive as hell.
But are LSU fans ready to admit that their offensive stats are inflated by playing two garbage defenses? I mean Bill Belicheck hasn’t had his offense look this good against anyone else.

LSU is definitely good, no doubt, but Clemson is trash. Ole Miss will be the first real team they have played.

I was at the game. I knew in pregame we would smash clemson. Their team was tiny conpared to ours. I stated that here day after game how they looked like they had hs kids out there. Backups but just means they have zero depth

We pretty much all accepted that last week. It’s why most of the bragging has been about the defense.

Nah. Clempson is atrocious and LSU had all the advantages in that game.

That’s not even getting into the 2-hr lightning delay. They came out deflated and knew they would lose, and everyone in the stands was pumped for LSU and it being the first Kiffin coached game. There were so many demoralizing factors for Clemson. Not saying LSU isn’t good, but you can’t not take note that nothing was going Clemson’s way.

Listen, I would love to be wrong. But if you watch the tape they are playing exactly how an elite defense should against garbage offenses.
My point is, LSU probably holds Ole Miss to 28 or less (that’s the Vegas team total). But I’m not convinced Leavitt can score more than that.

Yes. With the exception of seam / crosser to #7 …when Leavitt has to throw further than 10 yds it has been a crapshoot.
Hoping he proves me wrong today, but until he shows he can be a consistently accurate passer or at least protect the ball in the redzone, I still think Clark will challenge him for PT at some point this year.
