i think they're better than Michigan, who handled ou well enough to win. that defense in austin is no joke.

Well he is half right at least. Our offense sucks and will always suck as long as Steve Sarkisian is running it. It’s also the reason we’re never gonna win shite with him as head coach because he’ll never give up that duty.
Our defense is very good, but it will never be good enough to overcome his dog shite offense.
We will always win a lot of games due to talent and that defense, but we’re never gonna be real contenders until sark moves on.
It could be worse, of course, we could be sooner fans

Maybe TSU and UTSA got late garbage scores, but that is when you are testing your 2nd and 3rd stings for later in the season.

Would have more confidence in Utx at the top if both were shutouts or single score. The beauty of the old Auburn teams were low scores and usually at least 1 Auburn TD came from their defense. Gators had Fun and Gun, but their real talent was special teams and defense.

You can win a lot of games with great defense, but the rules in modern college football favor the offense pretty heavily now.
That undisciplined horse shite that sark trots out on offense every week is just not going to cut it. We can never be taken seriously as contenders as long as that guy is running it. Texas fans don’t wanna hear it, but it’s the truth and I think most of them know it deep down.

You may be right, but most viewers are watching what the cameraman wants them to. As an old O and D lineman, I like to watch the trenches, that is where the games are won and why so many games seem to shift in the 2nd half. You start seeing the big lads in the trenches getting winded late in the first half, then watch the scoring in the 2nd half.
Like you, not sure I am sold on Sark, but close wins will cover the flaws, and any teams Kool Aid fans will get their second wind. Even tho the game has long since passed me by, there are things you still see even today that affect outcomes outside the view of the talking heads (an why I like Saban on CGD). When that big Vol went down early, that should have been the end of the Vols and Utx defense gets a shutout.
Maybe I am wrong, but Utx has a chink in their armor. Still watching Bama, but UGA looks most complete so far and their 2nd half D looks good to me.

This is one of those years where this could feasibly happen in a rivalry game like that.
