Mack wants to see Arch run…
I am humble, but curious this Saturday. Can our offense, defense, and special teams actually play four competent quarters against a quality opponent?

He's not wrong. If the D has to use a spy, that is one less person in coverage.

Makes sense, throwing the ball to the other team hasn’t really been a key to success for arch

There is only 1 team that is capable thus far...that is your GA bulldogs. Sorry man, maybe next year.

I am confident Arch will look like a star against our defense.

Fans of 3 loss teams shouldn't criticize QBs of 1 loss teams.

Honest observation is not criticism

Bingo. I’ll take our last second rivalry loss and win over the likely big ten champ over whatever garbage atm is putting out right now

Why not, as someone pointed out, it would force the other team to dedicate a spy and if they weren’t solid or prepared on D, Arch was lucky and got his grandfather’s feet and athleticism instead of either of his uncles. He honestly still seems to struggle in the deep passing and mid range game (not saying he doesn’t have an arm - more timing). But he’s got plenty of other weapons that if they can have some successful packages with him moving more, UT may be a lot more formidable on offense. I hate saying it because it’s Texas and I’m supposed to hate them, but they aren’t hurting for talent around Arch and it seems like they need to look into playing more to his strengths than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Matt Jones was always better when he wasn’t listening to Houston Nutt and CO’s play calls and scrambling and slinging on his own terms(did he mess up sometimes yes, but he also made our offense way more dynamic when he was able to just open up and play his style).

With Arch that he means he is ready to see the back up as while arch has wheels, he isn't super athletic to get chunks and still get out of bounds...he will be injured ina a game or two.

He's being groomed for the pros. The college record is secondary. Running mkes no sense.

Manning Mafia ain’t having none of that BS…them and whoever is paying the bulk of manning NIL deal have Sarks nuts in their pockets. They are going to do the same thing to an NFL team soon. Sark ain’t going to go against them because he can’t afford to do so. This is going to be the ultimate outcome of NIL…the major NIL “donors” ain’t paying millions of dollars to sniff jock straps, they are paying millions of dollars for access for a multitude of reasons….it may only they want to be able to trot out a player in a promotional campaign….or it may be they are investing in a return at the next level… it could even be so they can shave points or outright influence the outcome of the game for gambling purposes. Whatever their plan is simply sniffing jocks like the bag men used to be is no longer the end game.

It's heart-warming to see fans of a team with no QB issues of its own be so supportive of a team with a struggling QB.

It really is amazing how mediocre he's managed to look. Tex has somehow gotten worse on offense every year Sark's been there (the defense kicks arse though).
I just can't remember an offensive minded coach, an experienced, somewhat mobile QB, and receivers as good as Coleman & Wingo looking so average. They almost HAVE to get better at this point.

True and what likely happens is Arch looks good against us hitting big passes to Coleman and Wingo then goes right back to struggling against other SEC teams.

If my memory is correct, Vince Young was initially coached in a way that was much too scripted. Once Mack Brown let him loose, VY became a huge weapon…

I definitely agree. Arch has looked stressed and frustrated out there.
We need better blocking from our O line also…

It’s not over for us yet, this early. But we have to see big changes. We played our best ball and got it together last year in the second half of the season, after our loss to Florida…

I agree- thanks for being honest. As you mentioned, Arch is blessed with speed, and a big body. Plus he has put in the work to become fit.
He’s a pretty good kid. I definitely want to make sure that Arch is coached loosely enough so that we all see what he can do.
