With Arch that he means he is ready to see the back up as while arch has wheels, he isn't super athletic to get chunks and still get out of bounds...he will be injured ina a game or two.

Yes, it’s a brutal game, and Arch could get hurt. But keeping him too pinned in will not let him advance.

We fortunately have Hollywood Smothers and other running talent, and talented receivers. Running Arch more could open up other options- but Arch does not need to carry all the weight.

He's being groomed for the pros. The college record is secondary. Running mkes no sense.

Fortunately, I bet most of us disagree with this take…

I think Arch has a shoulder issue or he needs a different set of shoulder pads IMO. If never seen a QB that throws his right arm up as many times as he does during a game. He's trying work out a glitch or needs some shoulder pad adjustment.

Manning Mafia ain’t having none of that BS…them and whoever is paying the bulk of manning NIL deal have Sarks nuts in their pockets. They are going to do the same thing to an NFL team soon. Sark ain’t going to go against them because he can’t afford to do so. This is going to be the ultimate outcome of NIL…the major NIL “donors” ain’t paying millions of dollars to sniff jock straps, they are paying millions of dollars for access for a multitude of reasons….it may only they want to be able to trot out a player in a promotional campaign….or it may be they are investing in a return at the next level… it could even be so they can shave points or outright influence the outcome of the game for gambling purposes. Whatever their plan is simply sniffing jocks like the bag men used to be is no longer the end game.

No… Growing up and attending Texas, I know how crazy our alumni are to win, and win now. aggy, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor alumni too. A big long time historical part of our state’s identity…

It really is amazing how mediocre he's managed to look. Tex has somehow gotten worse on offense every year Sark's been there (the defense kicks arse though).

Arch almost looks sick out there. Dude has a lot better in him, as do Coleman and Wingo. Something has got to change…

Fans of 3 loss teams shouldn't criticize QBs of 1 loss teams.

aTm fans do have a good eye for bad QB play.

I think their criticism is legit.

True and what likely happens is Arch looks good against us hitting big passes to Coleman and Wingo then goes right back to struggling against other SEC teams.

Sark needs to play to Arch’s strengths, which is not necessarily big passes. So what needs to happen for us is a more effective game plan, game time practice with that plan, and getting some confidence back.

Right now, Arch appears frustrated and stressed out…

Good observation- I noticed that last game too. I have an old right shoulder injury of my own, and I move my shoulder around a lot to loosen it up.

Arch is at his best when he’s using his mobility. It opens the field for him and if he stays in a pocket the field tightens and he’s not accurate enough to thrive.

Mack is correct.

It’s not over for us yet, this early. But we have to see big changes.

I made a really long post on tRant yesterday explaining all the things Texas or more accurately Sark needs to do and fast or Texas isnt done losing games this year.

The TLDR is basically this:

Yall still cant run the ball traditionally with any consistent success. Arch should be getting 8-10 designed QB runs a game, it will also soften up the defense.

End all the stupid super long developing plays Sark loves to dial up for some reaon without the O line the block it for long enough and a QB whose mechanics fall apart more and more the longer the play goes on for.

Use your personal properly. Wingo and Coleman are who the offense should run through and Arch should be secondary, he isnt good enough to be the identity of the offense bombing the ball down field all day. Work out of 12 and 21 personal with 3 receivers. One on the right who is just an alert route which is an easy read and throw for Arch if the defense gives it to him. Coleman out wide on the other side and Wingo in the slot beside him. work quick game i.e slants hooks, outs, angles, etc. The read is just 1. coleman and 2. wingo boom.

Get rid of these plays where Arch is being asked to go through 4 progressions. He cant do it fast enough and isnt good enough pre snap to make up the difference.
