What was LSU's priorities when they shut down a historical charity hospital that served the poor population so they could steal federal funds set aside to rebuild it and instead build a new LSU hospital for themselves?

The new LSU hospital in New Orleans replaced the charity hospital built in 1939. It serves the same purpose and also houses the LSU New Orleans medical school. Get your facts straight before tossing flames.

You would think if we could get someone on the board, or someone in the AD spot that has a personal relationship with the Waltons, then MAYBE they would get this shite rolling.

Pipe dream probably.

They have Bud Walton Arena but it is my understanding this generation of Waltons cares nothing about athletics but contribute to academics. JB Hunt and Tyson Foods I think chips a bit in. But, from what I've seen, it's up to the school to have a dynamic individual(s) working the collective. But, it helps to have rich folks around.

Hunter put all the eggs for the university into the save act.

It's just coincidence that Arkansas reported numbers match exactly to the cap in the legislation.

hahah...there are countless reports and documentaries that 100% disprove that LSU fairy tale to try to save face.

You 100% shut down a functioning hospital under the guise of "Katrina damage" to steal federal funds to enrich your university. The new facility does not offer the same amount of services, there are simply not enough beds dedicated to it. Also, what did all the poor New Orleans citizens do while the new fake charity hospital was being built?

The old charity hospital still sits empty to this day.

Do you even have a clue how much it would cost, even if it was possible, to bring a 1939 hospital up to codes? We had functioning hospitals built in the 50s but brought to code when renovated but still found it more functional to build new facilities and backfill the old old hospitals with office space. Office space does not have the onerous codes as a hospital did. That doesn't even consider the flooding and damage to the old Charity due to Katrina.

I've always been curious about the Walton Christmas gathering. What kind of gifts do you buy the family when all of you are billionaires? Do they fein excitement when they're opening presents even though they can't possibly care at all what it is?

I must know.

Walmart finances Arkansas. That’s why Arkansas is in food stamps and living in section 8 housing…..

They probably don’t gift presents, just get together at some vacation home, talk about treating themselves for the holiday, have the new generation meet the old generation, eat good food have some dranks, fake conversations, leave discuss who was unpleasant otw home repeat next major holiday

Fayetteville becoming an international city. Well, I highly doubt I’ll hear anything funnier than that today.

Arkansas also has Tyson, JB Hunt and ABF. They need to get someone who can shake the dollars out of these trees

Almost every employee working for Walmart or Tyson is living on public assistance so why shouldnt their employees at The University of Arkansas be the CFB equivalent of a Walmart door greeter? Welfare queens gonna welfare queen….
