Conley was a composite 4 star. Right there on the cusp.

I played against Zack Cunningham at Pinson Valley who went to Vandy and was underrated in HS. Had to completely change our gameplan cause of him

Recently I'd also add Hayden Hurst to Mike's list. He was an unrated walk-on who played TE for us. He's now a starter with the Minnesota Vikings and was a 2nd round draft pick.

If we are doing composite then yeah Johnny was a 3 star.

247 had Johnny as a 4 star though

I don't remembering him having any stars. In fact, he wasn't even being recruited if I remembered right. Didn't UGA coaches get a tip and offered him a scholarship after seeing him play basketball or something of that nature?

Kentucky shouldn’t be able to post in this thread, because when all you have is 2 and 3 stars, naturally the shiniest turd will stand out but it’s still a turd. Stick to basketball and let the big boys speak football.

One that comes to mind is Evan Engram. 3* WR out of high school (124th overall WR according to 247) who played TE for us for a number of years. He caught 162 passes over his 4 year career for 2320 yards, and 15 touchdowns. His senior year, he caught 65 passes for 926 yards and 8 touchdowns.

He now plays for the New York Giants.

Love him or hate him, he shows what can happen for somebody when they become focused and motivated. He did pretty well, to say the least.

I know. He was a 5* DT early in the recruiting process. Finished up a 4 star (top 150 in the country after junior and senior film).

Ingram was not from Concord. He was from Rockingham/Richmond County.

The last Gamecocks from Concord are Sandidge, Andy Boyd, and Tommy Beecher.

I only know this because I’m from Concord originally.

So Auburn checking in here.....My favorite 3 star player happens to be the SEC's all time leading scorer.....LEGATRON Daniel Carlson K. I know hes a kicker but he was a beast and I met him the airport after he signed with Vikings and a very humble and polite young man
