I just hope, like I said, he told one of those, likely Bosch, that he will be a OG, or when he tries later the shite shall hit the fan

You should still take 3-5 OL each year though IMO.

Yeah but not 3 heavier long armed OTs with flat feet, one will have to switch and it won't be pretty

Demarcus Walker on visit:

*Spent time with Saban
* Saban told him he(Saban) could shoot all over him...in basketball
* Doesn't think Saban could
* Talked with Chris Black
* Enjoys the football town atmosphere
*Talked with Foster about playing together
* Impressed with Bama's D
* Will take other visits before deciding before his Senior year
* No top school, but Bama is high up there

Damn, I was hoping all the commits at OT to Michigan would sway LTT our way. Never know it may over time. But we definitely need some OL.

The interior OL recruiting should be fine. Hill is basically locked up he's just gonna take a few visits before he commits and it looks like we're in the top 2 for Crowder. I just have no clue where we are gonna go for OT's now. Santa Marina is an option and so is Mix but we haven't really offered any other uncommitted OT's. Tunsil will probably go to Florida and I see no point in offering Perkins from Texas because he'll probably go to Texas anyway so maybe we can go Juco or something.

Ehh, they'll find somebody, Cyrus is gonna be here a minute, and Fluke might stay. I don't think we need to go Juco in this class for a RT.

Why is. Cyrus only there for a minute? I know it's a typo, but I can't figure out what you meant.

By saying he is going be here a minute, I mean a good while.

He should be here the next 3 years, and he might be here four if he gets some kind of medical redshirt.

ETA: it's kind of a sarcastic saying, like "Damn, what a fricking mess, it's gonna take a minute to clean this shite up."

I don't think he is eligible for a medical. He played in more than 1/3 of our games.

I don't think he will go pro early though. He seems to be one of those very rare cases where getting an education really is of equal importance to football.

There will be some OTs bust out in the next few months. It's still very early though it doesn't seem that way with the commits coming in droves. Still have a full cycle to find some OTs at Bama. I have no doubts Saban and co will find a couple of good ones.

Are you guys recruiting KSM as a Tackle? He looks like a Guard to me. Maybe RT. Just curious.

I think we are recruiting him... period. If we landed a better tackle, then we would use him at guard, if not we could probably make him a decent right tackle.

Saban likes very versatile lineman that can play different positions if need be, he has said so multiple times. And KSM is one of those types.

If we do not land a big time OT to put on the right side then Arie K and Austin S will likely stay out there behind DJ. I was hoping they would be able to move Arie and Austin inside and get them ready to take over at G.

After watching the Jonathon Stone highlights, he needs to be a 4-3 DE or stand up and play SAM in a 3-4. Looks to have the speed and feet to play SAM but I could not get a feel for how he might handle dropping in coverage.

Even at DE he already tends to stand up at the snap and function like a SAM vs the run. He uses his hands better after standing up.

Just a guess but after missing on a couple of OT targets, I think the staff will hold back and see which of the kids they are now looking at show up the best at summer camp in T-town. This should open the door for a local kid like Noah Armstrong if he puts in the work this spring and early summer.

Jonathan Allen sounds like a HEAVY Bama lean

quote:

"Yes, Alabama has offered me," said Allen. "And they are my number one choice."

"My father was born in Ohio, so he's been an Ohio State fan. I was born in Alabama and have pulled for the Crimson Tide since I was young. When Coach Smart told me that I had the offer, I was really excited."

"After Alabama, I like Penn State, Michigan, N.C. State, Oklahoma, Florida, and I'm still open to Virginia and Virginia Tech. Those are my top schools right now."

"I visited Penn State this weekend and I loved it. Coach (Bill) O'Brien has great plan in place to move the program forward, following the passing of Coach Paterno. With Michigan, I just have a great relationship with the Coach (Jerry) Montgomery and the other members of the staff. They're putting together a great class too.

"N.C. State was the first school to really recruit me, so that stands out. I'm probably closer to Coach (Keith) Willis than any of the coaches recruiting me. I like Florida because of the weather and how they'd use me in their defense. I don't know a lot about Oklahoma but I want to learn more. It's a prestigious program."

"I have a really good relationship with the coaches at Virginia. Coach Reid writes me all the time and came to one of my basketball games. I've visited twice and I'm going back there this weekend with my teammate, Ryan Burns. It's a great school.

"Virginia Tech offered me late but I understand it and I'm not going to hold it against them. Virginia Tech is another school that I'd like to take a look at because they've had a lot of success on defense. It's definitely a great program."

"My dad is recovering from surgery, so it may be a couple of weeks before I finalize things but I'm definitely visiting Alabama. I was talking to Coach Smart about that last week. I definitely want to get up to Michigan and then to Florida and Oklahoma as well."

Bama's defensive class has the potential to be special

In my experience, if there is a picture of a recruit in a post followed by phrases in quotation marks, it is a pretty safe bet that the recruit said those words.
