In my experience, if there is a picture of a recruit in a post followed by phrases in quotation marks, it is a pretty safe bet that the recruit said those words.

You know exactly what I'm talking about. You bucket head you. I hope your B chords are all sharp when you don't want them to be.

ETA: I see your confusion. I meant the quote: material, the entire quote. Not the quotes from the kid.

Where the hell was the information posted originally?

heatheatheat 12 posts Ok...final comment (and yes I am a HUGE Tyren Jones fan and supporter). We all know that the competitive level of football differs around the country. So it makes it tough when you try to compare some of these top rated guys against each other. With that in mind, I always like to look and see what a top prospect did in the State playoffs if their team made it that far because that is when they should be really facing off against the best their state has to offer. Here is what Tyren did in the Georgia 5A playoffs this year: Round 1: 131 yards and 5 touchdowns in 1st half (came out for 2nd half in sweats) Round 2: 228 yards and 5 touchdowns - played 1 series in 3rd quarter Round 3: 141 yards and 1 touchdown Semi-Finals: 188 yards and 2 touchdowns State Championship: 78 yards vs Grayson defense led by Robert Nkemdiche...Grayson only gave up avg 30 yards per game rushing all season So if you are calculating, that's 700+ yards and 13 TD's in Georgia 5A State Playoffs. Then to cap things off played in the Georgia Rising Senior Bowl where had over 120 all purpose yards on 8 touches (6 rushing, 2 rec) with 1 TD. Was told that CNS and staff commented that they were especially impressed with his playoff production vs. the 8-9 defenders in the box that he faced each week. He showed them everything they wanted to see in a RB: speed, power and elusiveness. They also mentioned the fact that they had gone back and looked at his highlights while at Lassiter where the offense was much more pass oriented and saw how well he picked up the blitz as a blocker and caught the ball from the slot and out of the backfield. Kid is a complete RB...heck, he is a complete football player with a very high football IQ.

To add to this post as I was attendance at each of those playoff games.

In Game 1 where it is mentioned Tyren had 131 rushing yards and 5 TDs in the 1st half. He actually had ~310 All-Purpose Yards in that 1st half when you include his return yards and receiving yards.

In Game 2 where he 228 rushing yards and 5 TDs after playing only 1 series of the 3rd quarter......had 300+ All-Purpose Yards in the game.

I've been around a while and have seen some of the top players in the nation play in person. Jones takes the cake for the best high school player I've seen live in person. He's on pace to be #1 or #2 in terms of All-Time Career Rushing Yards for Georgia's largest classification.

By the way, Tyren was recently offered by Florida. So I think he has 12 offers now....(Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma St, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia).

He's originally from Anniston, Alabama. It's not surprise that Alabama is his early leader.

I don't think any site has given an update on Adams yet, but I don't have Rivals.

Only thing Bama Rivals has put out today is something about Vonn Bell.

Nothing valuable, other than he's returning for A-Day...

Well we did get a commitment 2 years ago from a borderline 5-star safety in Haha Clinton-Dix. Maybe Bell follows that timeline?

I personally would rather get Antonio Conner from South Panola, MS, but I doubt he goes anywhere but Ole Miss.

Von Bell would be a good consolation prize.
