Is Hoke planning on signing the largest O-Line class in history?

Yeah I'm failing to see the point of signing 6 or 7 OL unless you are literally going to have no choice but to start a couple of true freshmen next year.

We are building a concrete wall.
We are going to have 5stars at C and watching from the bench.

Anyone with a Tidesports account care to summarize what Fulwood had to say about Alabama?
* Came with Demarcus Walker and 2014 QB John Wolford
* Loved the facilities
* Spent a lot of time with Coach Pruitt
* Bama told him they need more big WRs
* Hung out with Black, Cooper, and Williams
* Doesn't claim a leader
* Top 5(no order) - Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State.
* Visiting UF 1st week in March

Not about recruiting, but a pretty cool story nonetheless.
Today after church my family and I drove to Tuscaloosa for the day. We decided to have lunch at the Mediterranean restaurant in the outdoor mall. After ordering I saw Harrison Jones, the Alabama Tight End, eating and told my kids. One of my sons went over to his table and asked for his autograph. Harrison was obviously suprised and asked him if he was sure that he wanted HIS autograph and not his brothers. He got a pretty good kick out of it and gave him his autograph. I thought it was really cool.
I hope he can fill Brad Smelley's role next year. He's bigger than Smelley, at least 6'3" and he's put on some good weight since high school. He appeared to be a really good guy too. He and Barrett are very good ambassadors for Alabama.
By the way, the restaurant was extremely good as well.

Ah well
Full speed ahead toward Crowder, Grant Hill, still think Tunsil is a long shot
And I hope Hoke told one of those guys, probably Bosch, he will be playing inside

Nice, I think he can be as good as Brad was in the passing game, if he can be a great blocker too that'd be great. We're already going to have the best O-Line in the nation, add in Michael Williams and Harrison Jones blocking in some situations and no one touches our RBs.

We may still land Ethan Pocic. So one of them may have to play C or sit on the bench.

More on Tyren Jones from same poster who knows him personally on BOL:

heatheatheat 12 posts Ok...final comment (and yes I am a HUGE Tyren Jones fan and supporter). We all know that the competitive level of football differs around the country. So it makes it tough when you try to compare some of these top rated guys against each other. With that in mind, I always like to look and see what a top prospect did in the State playoffs if their team made it that far because that is when they should be really facing off against the best their state has to offer. Here is what Tyren did in the Georgia 5A playoffs this year: Round 1: 131 yards and 5 touchdowns in 1st half (came out for 2nd half in sweats) Round 2: 228 yards and 5 touchdowns - played 1 series in 3rd quarter Round 3: 141 yards and 1 touchdown Semi-Finals: 188 yards and 2 touchdowns State Championship: 78 yards vs Grayson defense led by Robert Nkemdiche...Grayson only gave up avg 30 yards per game rushing all season So if you are calculating, that's 700+ yards and 13 TD's in Georgia 5A State Playoffs. Then to cap things off played in the Georgia Rising Senior Bowl where had over 120 all purpose yards on 8 touches (6 rushing, 2 rec) with 1 TD. Was told that CNS and staff commented that they were especially impressed with his playoff production vs. the 8-9 defenders in the box that he faced each week. He showed them everything they wanted to see in a RB: speed, power and elusiveness. They also mentioned the fact that they had gone back and looked at his highlights while at Lassiter where the offense was much more pass oriented and saw how well he picked up the blitz as a blocker and caught the ball from the slot and out of the backfield. Kid is a complete RB...heck, he is a complete football player with a very high football IQ.

At this rate he will finish the class with 14 OL

I agree Jones's film is one of the best Ive seen.Reminds me a little of Keith Marshall with more power .Marshall is gonna do very well at UGA.

Marshall looked great but it was sorry defenses and he is tiny imho, I like TJ because of the balance and a great power base, Marshall had no power base, he is very VERY fast and elusive, TJ is more of a balance

They must literally have nothing on the OL after this year. They signed 4 quality guys in the '12 class, highlighted by Kyle Kalis. Now they have undoubtedly the top OL class for '13.

That's the only possible explanation. OL is kinda like QB. Once someone is entrenched as a starter, no one else is getting meaningful snaps at that position regardless of the play or situation.
