Quote from Tyren Jones again from poster on BOL who knows him personally:

quote:

"I am still looking around, but if I had to name a top three right now, it would be Alabama, Georgia and probably Clemson. Florida could be up there too."

He also said in no uncertain terms, Bama is the leader

Sweet. Tyren Jones would be a great pickup.

Seeing as how Bo Scarborough will likely outgrow RB, taking two elite, true backs in this class wouldn't be a bad idea. Grab Scarborough and be very selective with another 2014 prospect and our RB depth would be unreal for the 2015 season.

Any word out there on how Hackenberg's visit to Penn State this past weekend went? I haven't seen anything.

Not only is the article brief about Hackenburg's visit, it also spends a sentence or two talking about Ryan Burns.

* Visit didn't hurt PSU's chances
*Will be visiting Miami from March 2-4 and USCe March 15-16.
* Those are the last 2 visits for the Spring
* Will take some Summer visits, no one in mind

That goes against what he said about visiting Bama for Spring ball only a few days earlier, so I don't know who is right...

Where is that from Magilla?

I saw the Rivals article where he said he was coming to Alabama in April, thanks to Bucc.

I saw another blurp on Black Shoes, a Penn State blog, where Florida and USCe were mentioned, but nothing was said about those being his last visits for the spring.

Interesting that he said Bama offered Jason Smith at QB, didn't see that coming. Might be a way to sneak in the 2nd QB, IF he doesn't go to Auburn.

Ostendorf says Fulwood almost committed. Talked about us being the leader for Grant Hill, Reuben Foster made his surprise visit. Jason Smith got offered as a QB. Tyren Jones got an offer. Todd Kelly and Marlon Humphrey both got offers for 2014.

Georgia fans seem very confident that they will land Foster before it's over with. Do they know something I don't? Because I'm pretty sure the kid is from Alabama and grew up an Alabama fan.

Big "if" there. Just by the way he talked about his Auburn offer compared to his Bama offer, I'd imagine AU is the favorite

UGA fans can be confident all they want. He did grow up a Bama fan in Alabama and most if his family members are Bama fans. Plus he just made an unexpected visit to our Junior Day and he also came to the first one while he didn't even go to UGA's because he had to take the ACT. UGA has a chance, but not as good of one as they are making it out to be. Odds are great that he will end up in Crimson.

Hope and the fact they have his best friend committed. I don't think that's enough...

Yeah, Auburn seems like the full on favorite even after the offer.

What is Auburn recruiting him as? At first thought, I assumed Bama pitched him QB because that's where he really wants to play...

Smith will go to Auburn. I don't believe for one second Saban will let him play QB, he'll just tell him that he will and then switch him to WR. He also spoke higher about AU than he did about Bama.

He wants to play QB but is open to being moved, and Auburn will give him a shot at first. I'm sure he'll be moved to WR if he and the coaches see him being better there

No offense to Jason Smith or Auburn, but I don't know any Bama fan that covets Smith in this class. I highly doubt he has a full committable offer.
