A Day Analysis from Trevor H
Also, Vinnie Badger. It's a trend. Get on board. Toot toot!

Now that A-Day is over and the University of Alabama football team has completed spring practice, I thought that I would share some of my thoughts on the game and some things to look for in the fall.
1.T.J. Yeldon- for those of you who were unable to watch the game, Yeldon dominated the stat line with 16 rushes/94 yards, to go along with 5 rec./91 yards, one of which was a 50 yard touchdown reception that electrified the Bryant-Denny Stadium. Yeldon stole the show and gave us all a glimpse of what Crimson Tide fans have to look forward to for the next three seasons. He is one of those special players that can do it all: He can run over, around and by you. He has the hands to come out of the backfield and the power to punish you on every play. it is tough to see a scenario right now where he does not get significant playing time as a true freshman.
2. Adrian Hubbard- Hubbard has been consistent all spring and on Saturday he showed us all that he is ready to take the next step in becoming the great pass rusher that Coach Saban has been looking for since he arrived at the University of Alabama. Hubbard dominated the competition on Saturday sacking Quarterback A.J. McCarron a team leading three times. He will be key in providing pressure on the QB, which will be especially important early in the season while this young group of talented defensive backs gains more experience in Coach Nick Saban's defense. He looks like he can be a game changer for a young defense that is looking for its play-makers.
3.The competition at DB is going to be fierce going into next season. This inexperienced group of DB's played very well on Saturday, especially in the first half, and showed that they possess the ability to be an elite group next season. It seemed like every one of them made a great play at one point in the scrimmage. From the Robert Lester's INT on the first play of the game... to Vinnie Sunseri picking a pass off and sealing the win for the White team. Creating turnovers was a top priority coming into the spring and this group did not disappoint in that department. While there were some big plays given up throughout the game, many of them were due to great throws and catches made by the offense. This will be an exciting group of young players who will continue to develop and push each to be the elite defensive back unit that is the hallmark of a Nick Saban team.
In closing this was a tale of two halves, the first half was largely dominated by the defense and the second half saw more explosive and exciting plays from the offense. Both sides showed flashes of greatness and both also struggled at points to enforce their will. Overall, it should be very encouraging for Alabama fans to see that the state of the program is still in good hands with this young group of players, who seem hungry to continue the commitment to excellence that Coach Saban demands on both sides of the ball.

Sounds like Joey Bosa is going to fall for Urban Meyer's line of shite. He's going back to Columbus next weekend.

Very excited about Averett. Seems like we have offered tons of kids from NJ since Saban got here and it's nice to finally land one.

T.J. Yeldon was the third straight running back to win the Dixie Howell Memorial Award as the outstanding player in the University of Alabama spring football game, and 14th since it was created in 1971.
However, he was almost certainly the first to win it as an early enrollee.
While helping lead the White team to a 24-15 victory, Yeldon accumulated 179 yards (88 rushing, 91 receiving), of which 127 were in the second half, and scored on a 50-yard touchdown reception.
Despite wearing a cast of some sort on his wrist the first two spring scrimmages, Yeldon led all players in rushing and receiving yards Saturday. With Eddie Lacy held out while recovering from surgery on his turf toe, Jalston Fowler had 22 yards on eight carries and four receptions for the Crimson team, while Dee Hart had 44 yards on five carries.
"T.J. did a good job in all the scrimmages,” Coach Nick Saban said “He made the difference for his team. He made a lot of good plays today and had a lot of production.
"I think that's important for us because we needed some one like that.
He has a really good opportunity. Eddie will hopefully be able to come back, Jalston can do certain things, Dee Hart can do certain things. T.J. is one of those guys who can do everything."

I can only imagine. If he's willing to try and use UF's arrest record, nevermind those problems started under his tenure, against them when recruiting in the state of Florida, there's no telling what he's saying about Alabama.
Cameron Burrows is dogging Alabama on twitter. Trying to get Bosa to commit to Ohio State.
