Not sure how much truth there is to this but I've heard the palms & gloves in general are very stiff and you see the open fingers a lot cause fighters don't want to wear out their grip strength striking ...

Incredible animals. Bigger then cattle and run/jump as well as a horse. Local farmer bought one to fatten up and sale, it jumped his 6 ft corral panel without even damaging it. ...
