I agree. Plus I just can't stand the thought of us potentially having to start Ely if something were to happen to AJ. Yet another reason we need to bring in a good QB in this class.

Not that I want him gone, I'm just over the situation. He either stays and starts 1 year or transfers, it's as simple as that.
I'm not gonna hold him at a high value though because he has proven as much as Ely, just with a few more game time snaps. This is coming from a Sims supporter as well...

And for the record, Ely's stats for the 2nd scrimmage were:
13 comp, 25 att, 222 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT.
Albeit against the backups, although not as terrible as rumored...

We have some pretty damn good backups so thats cool with me. He just needs to keep doing work and get up to McElroys level. He will never be forced to win every game at Bama. Im glad to have him but we do need to add a stud to this years class. Next year will be too late. Alec Morris has a long ways to go as well i am sure.

If we can't land a stud high school QB recruit this year or Sims transfers, then I'm sure we'll go the JUCO route if there are any decent ones out there. Trouble is, a JUCO guy might not want to come here since AJ will have another year of eligibility.

I'm always weirded out by JUCO qbs. What is the reason for a qb to go to a JUCO(unless they transfer out)? Normally a qb should have the grades to qualify and you can usually tell if they are good enough to be D1.
Aaron Rodgers and his brother both went to JUCO and then got into really good academic schools
WHAT THE frick IS GOING ON?

I'd stay away from JuCo QBs unless they were high profile players that transferred out for some reason or another.
In other news, LaMichael Fanning makes Brandon Ivory look shorter and fatter than he already is by comparison.

Dang he's gotten huge. In other news Alvin Kamara will be back at Alabama for A-day afte nearly spending a week in tuscaloosa this past week.(Someone from 247 tweeted that)

Too bad JPW's mom didn't have some eligibility left...

Tenpenny, Tyren Jones, and Kamara would be lengen
dary. You just know other schools would crank up the negative recruiting to try to steal one of them though, "at Bama you're just one of three RB recruits. Sign with us and you'll be the man all by yourself".
As for the Juco QB, I'm not saying we take one just to take one. But if there's a decent prospect, I think we would go after him if PS transfers.

I posted this on pg 271:
Also hearing you can pretty much pencil Kamara in as the 3rd back/slot WR athlete in this class
Saban used the "NFL FA tactic" of offering another similar player (RB Ryan Green) and making him sweat for his future spot in this class he is the master
Anyway, got home late last night from a FIVE DAY!! Unofficial visit and will be back for Aday

After sending a recruit 100 letters, I hope we can pencil him. This class gonna be crazy

I honestly feel like soon we're going to be just too good for the rest of the NCAA. I know it sounds like I'm just being a homer, but I find it hard to beleive that we couldn't potentially go three years straight under Saban without losing a single game before he leaves.

Just stop yourself right there.

This will never happen again in college football unless half of the top programs in the country are given major SMU style sanctions at the same time.

Three years without a loss? Possible (anything is afterall) but not very likely at all.
Three years as champions is more probable though.
