OK I can agree with this. I will also say percentage wise you probably have a higher rate of posting in a rivals recruiting thread then I do. Haha feel free to check into that I'm not.
FWIW to all my Bama friends. I really do not take this very seriously in comparison to my life. I do it more out of fun, sarcasm, and rivalry jinx. Some get that, and some do not. To those who don't I apologize and simply ask you to gfy...
In case you still don't get it, the bold part was just a joke. Oops forgot to add the courtesy

2014 DB Glass loves first visit to Alabama
April, 2, 2012
By Greg Ostendorf
When Geno Smith first visited the University of Alabama, he fell in love with it. That’s the one of the main reasons he signed with the Crimson Tide in February.
The ESPNU 150 defensive back plans to enroll at UA this summer, but his first order of business before that is trying to recruit his high school teammate and 2014 star Nick Glass to Alabama with him. Glass visited Tuscaloosa over the weekend for the first time.
“We’re best friends,” Glass said of Smith. “He really helps me out with this recruiting thing, and he’s always telling me that he knew I would fall in love with Alabama at first sight. I guess I have to give it to him on that one. I loved it.
“Everything went well. I went to the meeting rooms, watched practice and got a chance to talk to the coaches. Practice was intense, high-tempo out there. It was just great.”
Glass played primarily at safety last year for St. Pius X High School, but at 6-foot-1, 198 pounds, the Tide coaching staff said he’s versatile enough to possibly play three different positions if he comes to Alabama.
“They were just talking about how the roster is always changing and how they intend to reload every two years,” Glass said. “They said I could be versatile on their defense, playing Will linebacker. They already know I can play safety, and they want me in camp to see my hips so I can play corner as well.”
On his visit, Glass didn’t get the UA offer he was hoping for, but he believes it could come very soon. He already has 17 offers from schools like Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Tennessee among others.
With an offer from Alabama, he says the Crimson Tide would be in his top group.
“They just have an overall winning tradition,” Glass said. “It doesn’t get any better than Alabama, great coaching staff, great players, players that buy into it and one of the biggest fan bases I’ve seen in awhile.”
It’s no wonder Smith signed with Alabama, and it can’t hurt the Tide’s chances that he’s now helping Glass, his friend and teammate, with the recruiting process.
“He says don’t look on the outside of a program because everybody can have the best weight room and all the flashy stuff,” Glass said. “Try to look inside and see if the players buy in and what the coaches are doing. Will the coaches be there for all your years and things like that.”
At St. Pius X, the two formed a dynamic duo in the secondary, and they’re hoping to continue that success at the next level, possibly for Alabama.
“He’s trying to get me to commit,” Glass said. “We only allowed two touchdowns in the secondary last year, and he’s always telling me, ‘I know we would dominate if you come.’ That’d be true.”
Glass already had plans to come back to Tuscaloosa for the Tide’s spring game on April 14. He was expected to visit Georgia Tech on Monday and also wants to visit Georgia soon.

Sorry bro, but I had to.

First of all, like CNS is going to be stupid enough to discuss money with a recruit in front of his high school coaches. Everyone knows that assistant coaches are the ones that do that
FWIW I don't think that is what the implication was. How I interpreted it was more the typical Saban pitch of "you won't not go to Alabama because of money, because I am going to get you to the NFL"

Secondly, it's not stated explicitly, but he gives the impression that CNS was meeting LF and his coaches in person. College coaches aren't even allowed to meet with '14 recruits off campus for another year and half.
Never stopped Saban before

Pretty surprised we didn't offer Glass this weekend. I know he's just a sophomore but he seems poised to be one of the top prospects out of GA in '14. Hopefully, we offer and Geno closes for us.

Geno will close if Glass gets the offer

He was just being a little baby and I let him know about it. Nothing big.

Four-star offensive line recruit Shamire Devine recently visited the University of Alabama and the 6-foot-7, 332-pound offensive lineman came away impressed with what he saw.
"Coach (Nick Saban) was just sitting down telling me what it would be like if I went to Alabama," Devine said.
The lineman from Tri-Cities High School (East Point, Ga.) said getting the offer was a great experience for him, and it gives him yet another quality school to choose from.
"Like any other normal football player who is into football, Alabama is big time," Devine said.
Devine plans to camp at Alabama to see if the Crimson Tide is the right fit. But so far he likes what he's heard from Saban and the rest of the staff.
"I have to do some research to find out how high or how low they will be on my list," Devine said. "If everything Coach Saban said checks out, then Alabama will be pretty high on my list, right up there with Georgia Tech Vanderbilt and Georgia."
One thing Devine said he appreciated was the honesty Alabama coaches showed when recruiting him.
"I like that they don't try to use some smoke and mirrors like some other colleges do," Devine said. "They keep it 100 percent real with you."
Devine said Saban and the coaching staff were not sure yet on whether he would be placed on the offense or defense, stating that he could end up on either side of the ball.
"What they were saying is they don't know where I'm at on the offense yet," Devine said. "They can see me on both offense and defense. What they want to do is, when I come back for camp, they want to place me
and see which one I'm better on and go from there."
The talented lineman also got the chance to check out Alabama's campus, where he said he had the best of both world in terms of space
and proximity to classes.
"Tuscaloosa, I could live there," Devine said. "It is big and small. The campus is nice and big and roomy, and then where everything is placed for the athletes you still don't have to travel far."
Devine said he plans to visit Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Vanderbilt with his official visits before committing after his senior season. Devine will also visit Alabama again during the summer for camp.

I doubt Georgia would go after Big Sexy, and even if they did, I doubt it'd help with anything regarding recruiting. Dude was a wasted scholly spot in Auburn and will be anywhere else as well. I still can't believe that dude got knocked on his arse by a guy 70 pounds lighter.

TUSCALOOSA _ Even though the weather service said it was only 84 degrees out when the University of Alabama football team started practice Monday, players got a taste of what the fall will be like going through drills in full pads in the warm sun.
Wide receiver DeAndrew White (hamstring) and offensive lineman Chad Lindsay (head) were back going through drills, but quarterback Phillip Sims appeared to be still limited due to a sore shoulder.
Freshman running back T.J. Yeldon was still sporting wearing a cast on his left hand/wrist, but was no longer trying to make any receptions with it on.
Tackle Arie Kouandjio (knee) and running back Blake Sims (hip) were again wearing black jerseys while riding exercise bikes during practice, while there was no sign of running back Eddie Lacy (tie) during the observation period.
There was also no side of wide receiver Duron Carter.
Alabama will return to the practice field Wednesday, with a shortened week due to the Easter holiday. The team will hold its second spring scrimmage on Friday. All spring practices except A-Day are closed to the public.

Ga. LB Carter takes in a Tide practice
With a number of high schools in the Southeast out for Spring Break, the visitors have become more frequent at the University of Alabama’s practices. On Friday, Snellville, Ga./South Gwinnett linebacker Reggie Carter was on hand for practice.
“The visit went good,” Carter said. “I like how practice was run. They got so many reps. I’ve done some of the drills, but there was some I didn’t do, and I like how Kirby Smart runs the linebackers.”
During his visit to Tuscaloosa, Carter got a chance to sit down and talk with Smart, the Crimson Tide’s defensive coordinator who serves as Carter’s main recruiter and would also be his position coach at UA.

Alabama football signee Dalvin Tomlinson will undergo surgery after suffering a “significant” knee injury, according to the Henry Daily Herald.
Tomlinson, an AJC Super 11 defensive tackle from Henry County High School, waited until signing day to reveal his college decision, putting on an Alabama baseball cap over runners-up Georgia Tech and UGA.
Tomlinson injured his knee while playing soccer for his high school. He told the Daily Herald’s Brian Paglia that he expects to be fully recovered by the start of his college football season.
“I’ll be over it by the time the season comes around,” Tomlinson told the newspaper. “It was pretty shocking.”
It’s heartbreaking news for Tomlinson, who has had a rough year. His mother died unexpectedly last summer after a longtime illness.
