So is it true Bama is telling Falkins to look around?

If so, Bama fans in this thread owe the LSU recruiting board an apology.

Maybe I'm all alone here, but if AJ can kick it up to at least say 210 lbs, show the same mobility he did on occasion in 2011, and have a really good 2012 (and hopefully he returns) and 2013 he could go very high in the draft. Maybe not first round, but maybe second round.

A question for any high school football followers, what do you think are the top ten divisions in High school ball? I know some places top off at 5A, others 6A. I'd imagine GA 5A is at the top with Bama 6A coming in second, hell GA 4A and Bama 5A may even be on some people's lists. Anyway, what do you think?

Not trying to be picky, but there's a difference between the University of GA, and the state of GA. UGA doesnt have highschool teams, because it's not a state, it's a university.

I work with people from almost every SEC school, and I also didnt go to a "UGA highschool" in GA.

That was my mistake, I'll fix it. I wasn't thinking, I am from Bama after all.

AJ?

He really needs to work on his deep passing to become a 1st/2nd round kind of player. For some reason he struggles with accuracy down the field even though he has a pretty good arm.

That being said, as long as you solidify yourself as one of the top 5 QBs in the draft you are all but guaranteed to be taken in the first 2 or 3 rounds unless it's an incredibly weak class.

I heard from someone that speaks to one of his family members that they're apparently well off, and are encouraging him if he gets a top 6 grade. Only time will tell, but the kid made huge strides towards the end of the year. I expect him to progress that much more this year.

So it appears that it's Cooper Bateman or bust. I would love to get an actual target in this class as opposed to grabbing an Ely or Morris, but the reality is that we need a QB regardless of rank to provide depth.

He does come from money. Not that that stops the Rantards from freaking out when someone posts a picture of his Yukon.

I think he has lots of NFL potential. I'm just not sure our offense is ever going to highlight QB play enough to get him the hype that tends to go along with any highly rated pro prospect.

Could just be wishful thinking on my part, but I feel like he'll return after next season. He grew up a Bama fan dreaming of playing QB for Bama. If he starts for 3 years, he would probably break just about every Bama career passing record and the '13 team will be very similar to the '11 team meaning that another title run is a definite possibility.

Also, next year's draft is already looking very strong for QBs with Barkley, Landry Jones, and Tyler Wilson.

I can't grip why Jones is a good pro prospect to people. He's HORRIBLE under a pass rush, and he was choking against Big XII defenses last year.

Jones I can understand. I'm not saying he'll be a great NFL QB but at least he has an extensive track record of playing at a high level. He did go through a slump the last few regular season games of 2011 where he seemed out of it, but he was very good for 2010 and most of 2011.

I don't get the draft hype for Tyler Bray. He's really feasted on the bad teams he's played against but has not played well at all almost everytime he gone up against a good defense. some mock drafts have him as a top 5 pick.
