Won't be the first time UGA has used a player this way. Champ Bailey to name one in the mid to late 90's.
And Mitchell is going to be the same way this year

Michael Carvell, the master of the troll, has done it again. In this AJC article about Jordan Jenkins, he manages to troll UGA, Bama, and Auburn. Funny how recruits never say these types of things to anyone but Carvell.

quote:
UGA-bound Jordan Jenkins was “the big fish who got away” from Nick Saban this February when he raided Georgia for eight of the state’s top recruits while assembling his fourth No. 1-ranked recruiting class out of the last four years.
quote:
When you committed to UGA on live TV, you said your family “didn’t exactly feel safe” with you going to Alabama, and that the Bulldogs were a better fit because you didn’t want to go to a place where your mom was “worried” about you all the time. “My mom didn’t know … she was always uncertain how long coach Sal Sunseri and coach Kirby Smart were going to be at Alabama. And then, a few days after signing day. Coach Sal was gone to Tennessee.”
quote:
So you were trying to say … “Pretty much that, and I wanted to go to a place where my mom was comfortable with all the coaches and could talk with all of them on a personal level – the whole coaching staff and not just one or two coaches. She never really got a vibe or ‘real family feel’ for Coach Saban. She really loved Coach Smart but she didn’t really get to know or have that type of relationship with any other Alabama coaches … whereas at Georgia she did.”
quote:
What was your impression of Nick Saban? “I was a lot closer to Coach Smart than I was with Coach Saban. When Coach Saban is around a bunch of football players, he’s more open than he is when it’s just you and your family. Coach Saban is a great coach but he’s a quiet guy. It sometimes felt awkward being around him. But I just love Coach Smart.”
quote:
What was the funniest thing a college coach said to you? “This wasn’t meant to be as insulting as it sounds. When coach Gene Chizik was comparing Auburn and Alabama, he put up a slide that showed they had more wins, more this and that … then he started talking about Florida and how Will Muschamp follows in his shoes. I started busting out laughing. He said ‘When I was at Auburn the first time [as an assistant] and after I left, Muschamp came here. Then I was at Texas and after I left, Muschamp came there.’ He went on and on. He said ‘Muschamp just follows in my footsteps’ and it was hilarious the way he said it.”

The troll is strong with this one
these last 50 or so pages seem to have more opinions from the gallery (namely AU fans, minus TT, he usually brings quality content IMHO) than Bama info or discussion by Bama fans, just an observation

WTF are you talking about. I responded to your being upset about a coach using playing time as a ploy. My response was Saban is laughing at you because they all use it. How many kids does he pitch the Jack position to? A lot. No troll bruh stop being so sensitive.

Ya, TT is the troll, especially of late.

BAMA board BRUH
& my SARCASTIC commentary had nothing to do with a coach telling kids what they want to hear, I am aware that all coaches do this, I was referring to Richt telling every kid they will play 8 different positions and every kid they are "#1 on our board"
& LoL @ you for calling me sensitive, I'm just needling my favorite fanbase to troll, the Aubies

Having only been on this board for a few weeks, it appears that there's a couple of AU fans that cant stop posting in UA threads, and Alabama recruiting threads. They really play up the whole "little brother syndrome".
I've never cared to read their recruiting thread, well because it just doesnt interest me. I did read the UGA recruiting thread just because we have many recruiting battles with them.

Some posters on the TigerR were saying or speculating that LC was at the spring game with his brother Gerald Willis who's being recruited by LSU. They were on the field before the game then moved to the section reserved for recruits before the game started along with all the other recruits and their families. Could be BS though.
I saw it briefly, but I haven't seen confirmation Willis was even there. We are still finding out who all was there. We had at least a 100+ recruits there this weekend, and many were there after the game for the picnic. You know how we like our tailgating

With Auburn granting LaDarius Phillips a full release, anyone think that Richt might go after him in order to try to sway his cousin Reuben Foster. UGA is going to be something like 12 below the scholarship limit for next season so it wouldn't cost them that much. Remember they were the only one to offer Crowell's cousin last year although he turned out to be a decent ST player for them.

So would you be considered to have an inferiority complex because you have commented on the UGA recruiting thread?

There's a difference between reading their thread every once in a while, and posting in it multiple times on every page. There's pages in this thread where that one AU fan(Ttstwowel) literally out numbers UA posters on a page. If it strictly was intelligent football discussions that'd be one thing, but most of them are thinly masked dick measuring posts.

They mad
Yeah, I found that pretty humorous. First of all, like CNS is going to be stupid enough to discuss money with a recruit in front of his high school coaches. Everyone knows that assistant coaches are the ones that do that
Secondly, it's not stated explicitly, but he gives the impression that CNS was meeting LF and his coaches in person. College coaches aren't even allowed to meet with '14 recruits off campus for another year and half.
But you're right. They definitely mad...and worried.
