Take this FWIW, but I talked to someone that covers SFL recruiting, and they said the communication between Bama and Burns went stale.
Hmm. As in just no contact, or just didn't have any real friendly connections anymore. And if it was the former, I wonder it it was intentional? I don't think they completely ignore you while you're committed, unless Burns just thought he wasn't getting enough attention.

We can't be recruiting Alvin Kamara at RB at this point. Right?
I'd say athlete. Bama is looking for potentially 3 RBs and Kamara fits the type they want for #3. Although he can also be a WR and I think some are looking at him as a DB too.

IMO recruiting will someday be the death of CFB, unless some people fix the situation.
This is spot on. There needs to be some major overhauls to the rules of recruiting, social media, recruiting sites, etc. Parents are loving the attention and adulation from fans. Early signing period would help, but not the only tool needed.

There has been talk that Bama would take up to 3 RBs in the class. I don't really understand it either but it was mentioned by one of the mods on one of the sites. I think AK might be the only other RB that we would take though.

You guys should take like 4 so Fournette likes the depth MOAR.

Bama is probably only taking 1 more ILB this year.

Holy Moly I'm gone from the board for one day and all hell breaks loose?!?!?!?
It seems as if the patients now run the Asylum
Memphis where's my mail?
And I tried to tell you guys weeks ago LSU was the only team I considered to be a THREAT to us signing Nkemdiche (if LSU is gonna steal him away at least learn to spell his name right, geez). A few things working in their favor:
1. Reportedly grew up a huge LSU fan
2. LSU is not as picky on spots ESPECIALLY in the CB department, don't be suprised if they offer Kamara soon, in Chavis D system you really don't have to have great CBs especially not in the SEC, its all about safeties, who are the bread and butter, security blankets, really the cog of the secondary
3. A 4-3 has its decided advantages for a player with RN's speed, size and power combo, I equate it the most favorably to Jason Pierre-Paul for the Giants, and although he is enamored with playing in the 3-4 or just Saban and Smart in general, LSU's base scheme had to get him excited this past weekend
All that being said, I still think he's Bama's to lose, but LSU is going to make it interesting.
On Burns, really a head scratcher, seems like serious sour grapes being shopped to him about Bama, likely by Craig, and if I had to bet on it, it was or is likely the same spill he pitched to others about us looking at other players and being "comfortable" and not pursuing him any longer (Craig and Gran are pros at that pitch) and then he has ENORMOUS pressure from his parents and the rest of his fam as well as teammates I'm sure about going to Miami and stayng close to home. Seems to be a combination, and you guys need to remember on Amari Cooper it was a situation where he really didn't have this much attention until Bama had time to solidify his commitment and the attention was too little too late.

When are people finally going to see the bullshite Craig is spewing? I'm glad UF doesn't really run the same schemes as FSU, and doesn't recruit a ton of the same guys. I would be livid with Craig if I had to deal with the shite Bama and AU does.

Thanks for positively contributing, proud of you buddy
Now to add...question....what are you hearing on the Joey Bosa front, particularly from UF side? Hearing they are making serious noise and likely gonna make it tough

When he falls up the stairs and leaves a suicide note in someone else's handwriting detailing how he couldn't live with the lies anymore.

On Bosa, I cannot say we feel confident at all. Not the coaches, nor the insiders. We're in the top 3, but that doesn't really mean shite. The longer he puts off his commitment though, the more I think it favors UF (the instate team). As of now, I would say tOSU or Bama though.
I think UF likes Elijah Daniel a lot, but we will see what happens with him on 4/7.

.... and you know I'm going to give you shite. That's just how it's man.
Doesn't mean I don't like you, I just see things a lot differently.

So right so right
I'm pissed everytime I see a prospect talk about FSU specifically because its all about how great Craig or Gran is or how great the D is (not that great)
I hope nothing but the absolute best for Jameis Winston....in his baseball career, I hope he really impresses scouts and he is a 1st rd draft pick and gets millions, or just enough to not turn down
And I hope what I am hearing recently about Austin Golson is absolutely true and he flips
And yes I am extremely butthurt
Posted on 3/19/12 at 9:27 pm to BuccWildBammer
It's only a matter of time on Craig. The real question is if it's Bama or Auburn that facilitates it.
