I think everyone knew Ronald Carswell was gone. Logic brings up the other two.

also interesting comments about him and Kamara being a package deal, AJC tries to slant it as he is a UGA lean because the Dawgs want him to play CB, but Bama wants AK at WR which gives us the edge but I thought it was interesting

Just wanted to point out that RN would be a package deal with DAVID Kamara, not Alvin (who was too "sick" to go to Clemson's Junior Day, btw, but still wound up in Athens this weekend )

A triple option QB who had under 1000 yards passing this past season. Not to mention he's 6-1, 189.

But, he certainly has the arm of a QB...

Oh damn thanks for the verification, any relation gotta be with Kamara as last name, or a Ga's version of Derrick Thomas
(R.I.P.) or ODB lol

Ah HAHAHAHAH j/k

So what are you hearing on Foster? I think he was in town yesterday checking out schools, liked Handley HS with Bozeman, looked at Oxford HS, got a great LB coach, but haven't heard anything since yesterday

I don't really bother with Twitter that much, but I ending up clicking Malik Zaire's from his his 247 profile. Several friends have congratulated him on just his Bama offer as if it was a huge accomplishment.

Nothing really insightful, just thought that was pretty cool that an offer is that revered. I kinda want Zaire in this class, but I'll have to see if Saint says it's ok first

He plays just like his idol, and is built like him too. He's even a southpaw, lefties rock

Malik Zaire

quote:

“I’ve received a lot of letters from Alabama over the course of the past couple months. It hasn’t been anything serious until Coach Thompson got in contact with me and it’s been serious from then on. I have a great relationship from talking with him here and there and he got me in contact with Coach Saban,” said Zaire.

“I talked to Coach Saban today. He was explaining an overview of everything about Alabama, their offense, and what it would take to get back to a national championship. It was more than just a football talk. That’s something that really stood out to me and something that I took a liking to because it shows he cares a lot more than just getting good players to come and win games for him. I think that shows a lot of character in Coach Saban and it was definitely was great to me. “

quote:

“It’s always a great honor to have the opportunity to play for a national championship team and I think that’s really important. It’s not every day that a national championship team contacts you so it’s a credit to the work you put in during the offseason and the work that you put in with your teammates on the field.

“I know their offense is a pro-style and they run the kind of offense that NFL teams run. That’s a big sticking point with me, because that’s my main goal at the end of the day and what I’ve dreamed of doing is playing in the NFL. I think that sets me up with a great opportunity to be submerged in a great offense that they run at the next level. They have a lot of experience on that side of the ball to help you improve as a quarterback and in everyday life and I think that’s important.”

quote:

“I talk a lot to Notre Dame, Alabama now, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. I talk to Pitt a lot- I keep in contact with a lot of the schools that have offered me. I’m still very open-minded with the schools that haven’t offered but have a lot of interest in me. I’m just trying to enjoy the process as much as I can.

“I’m definitely planning on going down to Alabama, South Florida at some point, I’m planning on going to see Wisconsin and Nebraska here soon. I’m just trying to get all the visits out I can here and I guess we’ll see what happens. The two camps I’m probably going to in June so far would be the camps at Ohio State and Alabama.”

quote:

“Distance isn’t going to play a role in my decision. It’s going to be wherever I feel is the most home-like and that’s what I’m going to base my decision on. I’d have no problem going to California or Florida if that’s where my heart is. It’s going to be my gut feeling. It’s going to come down to how I feel with the coaching staff and how much of an impact I feel I can make with that team to be more successful along with the other factors like the academics and the team environment.

“I don’t really have a timeline until I finish my visits. However fast I get done with my visits is when a timeline will be set in place. I do want to get it done as fast as I can, because a lot of quarterbacks are deciding pretty early.”

Hmmm, another QB offer. Saban definitely wants to land a QB in this class, and since Hackenberg is gone, its anybody's guess who will be our guy. Has Tidesaint done his analysis on Zaire yet? Personally I have no idea where he would fit in our offense, but if Saban wants him than its fine with me.

I watched his YouTube highlights and wasn't overly impressed. But I don't like dual threat guys unless they will be the next cam newton.

I agree, maybe Saban wants him at WR. Either that or he knows we're gonna lose out on some more of our Pro-style targets so he's moving on to Dual-threat guys.

I hope his team lets him pass more this year, they are letting that arm go to waste not letting him throw at least 20 times a game. They are a triple option offense, but they do have some shotgun sets ala Air Force.

He's not the tallest QB, but that means more putting him into the NFL than it does being a capable collegiate QB. I'm dying to see a dual threat QB in this offense, especially with Nuss on board. And despite being a running threat, he wants to be known as a passer(I'm a sucker for that statement).

Jeremy Johnson…

Any reason why Bama isn't interested in him?

I was under the assumption the disinterest was mutual, thus no pursuit.

If not, and with Bama's QB recruiting so far, I have no answer...

At 6'1 and 185 I think this guy is much too small to play QB for us. If we end up losing out on all our Pro Style targets I'd much rather see us flip McCrary. Its pretty obvious we need a QB in this class. Think what would happen if Sims were to transfer and then A.J. moves on to the NFL. We would be stuck with Morris and Ely. Morris looks like he has a lot of potential, some have compared him to G-Mac and he looks like a guy who will do well for us. Ely however looks like a career backup to me, wasn't very impressed by him.

Because he wants to go to Auburn and you guys will probably get him.
