Honestly, though, I’d probably vote for Sam Houston.

Sam Houston was from Virginia.

Football gets the accolades, but some world class baseball players, boxers, track stars, and entertainers were born in Alabama.

Yea, but he got to Texas quick. And he was the President of the Republic of Texas. I think he counts.

False; he started his political career in Tennessee. He didn't reach Texas until he was almost 40.

40 years is nothing when you're a great man.

He was Governor of TN before he went to Texas. He did not get there quick.

That’s a good one. Know some of the Parker descendants. Walter Prescott Webb’s “Texas Rangers” is really good as well.

Way too many to list

But since all posters can’t comprehend what

“Greatest human being ever” means

I’ll start with the music theme….

Louis Armstrong

Fats Dominoe
Jerry Lee Lewis
Buddy Guy

Never mind…

There’s way too many greatest human beings from

The Great State of Louisiana

So I’ll stick with:

Louis Armstrong

And Richard Simmons
