WIC is great because it mandates what it can be used on which was basic wholesome foods like cheese, eggs, meat and vegetables. SNAP should be mirrored after it. If people want redbull and potatoe chips then they should spend their own money on it
My English teacher in elementary school was former NOPD. One day we asked him what precipitated the change from police work to being an English teacher…wish we hadn’t.
An old WW2 collector kept a bunch of memorabilia in his attic. One day in the middle of the summer he went up and didn’t come back down. Heart attack they guess. After a couple of weeks neighbors called for a wellness check. Him and his partner showed up and noticed the attic ladder pulled down. Went up an there they found him all bloated and decomposing.
They called an ambulance but thought they would be nice and get the guy down. Only problem was they misjudged the size of the attic egress relative to the now bloated body.
My teacher had the u fortunate luck of being the first one out with the legs when all of a sudden the guy got stuck. He thought a little tug would get the guy…wrong. Ended up ripping the abdominal wall and a shower of necrotic intestines, shite and stew of juices rained down on him.

From what I understand he has a mitigation clause where he has to find work. But, he just wants to retire and has negotiated the buyout down to get rid of the mitigation clause. At least that is the rumor
