What about South Carolina?
No one is trying to force a rivalry between LSU and South Carolina

Oklahoma would be. Two of the top 5 programs of all time, top 5 most wins of all time, the two premier dominant champs of the Big 12 and SEC over the last 20 years. They’d be the one

You said Arkansas and A&M aren't SEC.
South Carolina joined the SEC in the same year as Arkansas, are they not SEC?

If they make the permanent rivals anything like they made the schedule this year, prepare for Texas’ 3 permanent rivals to be Vanderbilt, Miss St., and anyone of Kentucky, Arkansas, or Mizzou.

They are not….I prefer the more historical and conventional Southeastern matchups with Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Florida. It doesn’t feel right without those schools on the schedule every year…any more questions?

You are the Northwestern of that trio.

Texas LSU and Arkansas are very easily the three most important for A&M fans, whether we would actually get all three of those I doubt
If you pay up it could go in your favor.

For Texas:
- OU
- Arkansas
- Aggy
Though it’d be cool to have LSU as well.

OU has texas.
Nebraska was the other real OU rival. Okie state shared the state, but that was extremely lopsided.
Because of time in the big 8, Missouri has a history of games, but that was not a big rivalry.
If the SEC chooses this path, I expect OU to have:
texas, missouri and a team to be named (I keep hearing Fla, but that is as arbitrary as could be chosen)

Ole Miss getting mentioned over and over again for rivalries. Pretty wild.

that was kind of the minor offshoot from the maint point that SC needs to play UGA. UGA is undoubtedly SC's biggest and longest standing SEC opponent. They have played us over 30 more times than the next most often SEC opponent, and we are their 2nd most played team ever only behind clemson.
Nobody wants to go to Columbia for a road game, and I’m sure that was discussed at length. Georgia has played Kentucky 77 vs 76 against South Carolina.

3. Gets a bit murky here due to conference expansion impacting rivalries. Seventy years ago it was definitely Ga Tech. Fifty to sixty years ago, it would be Tennessee. Thirty to forty years ago it would be Florida. Twenty years ago it would be LSU. And to this day some AU fans would consider any one of those as our #3 rival. Others, mostly the younger crowd, might say Ole Miss.
Heeeell No.
