54 mm can buy me some top notch hunting land with pond(s), best food plots, a tits house, a boat for when I want to go elsewhere, and some nice compounding interest.

At a place that I don’t have to tell anybody. See ya suckers that drafted the buyout in the contract.

You don’t have to call me “Coach” ever again. But you must call me “retired”.

Honestly that makes more sense than the way I interpreted it

BREAKING: Former LSU HC Brian Kelly has received a formal termination letter from the school dismissing him “without cause,” per Yahoo Sports'

The school states it will pay the required buyout of $54M over 6 years, as long as Kelly meets his obligation to find another job.

Something like this is what I remember seeing, but only read the headline and not any article

Bro.

He has an agent.

You think he is supposed to show LSU proof of snail mailing his resume via Certified Mail?

You have to remember that wadewilson truly believes that Brian Kelly has to accept a part time seasonal job helping load Christmas trees at Boudreaux’s Tree Farm or else the whole contract is null and void.

His schtick is the same every time.

He talks completely out of his arse. Then, if you call his bullshite out, he ends up crying and telling you to kill yourself.

No you don't.

Yiu don’t have to do monthly interviews but you do have to actively search for jobs and interview or the team can pull money. It’ll go to court. It’s happened before and coaches usually lose.

Dude has been coaching for 50 years at a high level. He might not have excelled here, but he is too proud to just walk away.

All I have heard from you LSU baws is that LSU is a Top 5 job. So I guess to find "qualifying employment" all BK has to do is send in his resume to Top 5 schools every year and see if they want to hire him. I'm sure Georgia is ready to replace Kirby with him any day now.

In fairness it says nothing about him having to interview every month. Also, football would not be interviewing during the season, and what qualifies as "due diligence"? As Gideon Swashbuckler pointed out, there are ways you can sabotage your own efforts when you walk into an interview.

quote:

In the event Employee obtains such other employment, Employee
must notify LSU and provide documentation reasonably requested by LSU to
determine the amount of compensation received by Employee and the amount of offset due to LSU.

quote:

That says records of his employment concerning how much money he will be making. Again, if he sabotages his own attempts he would still be owed his buyout. And the sabotage would not have to be quite so blatant as Gideon pointed out. There are very subtle ways to do it.

Coaches want to be a head coach rather than be idle but Kelly looks like a heart attack candidate looking at him lately. He might not hold up long being a head coach.

If you won the powerball, would you want the annuity or a lesser lump sum up front?

I'll say this, you are a true believer in this "must search for another job" clause. You bring it up in every thread as if it's this lifeline that is going to save LSU millions.

Those aren't the choices. It's $750k/month over 6 years and you have to report monthly interviews or An undetermined settlement and LSU doesn't follow you around.

Is this the same source that had Canes guy lump dumping the buyout or the one that had him fired with cause?
