Oats will probably be the first call..........maybe second behind Hurley.

From the same barrel as Eddie Sutton and Billy Clyde, so why not.

No they’ll pull an acc coach or some other weird conf

He’d be down the list because Barnhart has no desire to deal with potential off the court issues. Especially after Gillispie.
My guess is they contact Hurley and make him say no. And go after Oats or Drew.

The true blue bloods of the sport (Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, etc) will turn their noses up at a guy like Beard because of his past. I could be wrong but I don’t feel nearly as nervous about UK coming after him as I did Arkansas

Alabama may kick the can on Beard though.
Watching Bama go 0/2 on Ole Miss coaches this year will be glorious.

I could see Hurley declining. I don't see how Oats would turn it down.

IMO Kentucky knew this would happen and they already have a guy not from this conf. It’s weird cal to Arkansas with reported numbers which would mean we never went after beard or wade.

Oats to KY, Beard to Bama, Wade to OM

I think Kentucky can get about any coach, but I think Hurleys probably the one they can't get. Only times we've really seen a coach leave a blue blood for another is Roy Williams from Kansas to UNC but Dean Smith ties more than anything pulled that one.

Crazier things have happened for sure.
It’s interesting that Reed Sheppard hasn’t declared for the draft yet. Makes you wonder if the Sheppards know something. I can’t imagine him waiting to see who UK gets unless it’s a big name.

I wouldn’t even go after Oats. He still has a lot to prove. Barnhart needs to throw the book at someone who actually has a proven track record and knows how to win.
