Show me where the number one team who has won 28 straight games and back to back championships has fallen from number one to number five in the final week?

It's hard to believe ppl can be this dim. This 2023 UGA team hasn't won 28 straight or 2 Natties. You don't get credit for what you did last year or the year before.

Should TCU get in? They were pretty good last year too.

If Ohio St can drop from 2 to 6 then UGA can drop from 1 to 5. You guys get way too caught up on where teams are currently ranked and how far they fall/climb. It's why the committee should'nt release the rankings weekly. It only creates issues.

Sure are a lot of other sec team fans on here gargling Georgia balls lately. If Bama beats Georgia, they are out, unless Texas loses again or Michigan loses to iowa. The committee is determined to get a pac 12 team in, so either Oregon or Washington are a lock. Michigan is a lock. Only way Georgia after a loss to Bama is if both Michigan and Texas lose their championship games. Sec is only getting one in max, and if Bama wins they will have by far they best resume and the head to head against Georgia, and the best loss considering it happened week 2 and this is clearly a different team than back then.

If Texas loses Georgia is in no matter what.

Otherwise, this is a playoff game.

Win and they stay number 1 Lose to Bama on a neutral field and they do not fall past 4 This is the only way it happens, some of you are letting your emotions make you believe something illogical will happen It won’t, the playoff committee has proven that before

You are dead wrong and have been for years

FSU would have to lose as well. The committee is not going to leave an undefeated conference champion out IMO.

I don't think so. The reason they got in after being waxed in the SECCG in 2021 was because there was no undefeated or one loss conference champion from either the Big 12 OR the ACC which is almost never the case, and it doesn't look like it's going to be the case this year.

If Georgia loses and there are no upsets then GA and AL are out.
Playoff teams will be Wash/OR, Michigan, FSU and TX. Period. ! Exclamation point.

The end.

This. They would most likely be the first 1-loss Non-Conf champ in. But, tOSU may edge them out on SoS and better loss.

Road loss to undefeated UM > neutral site (as neutral as Bham used to be for Bama)/loss to #8, 1-loss Bama.

well, you're wrong. History has shown us that non-champions are generally at the back of the line compared to 0/1 loss P5 champs.

If bama wins... I bet you change your tune.

All good points. The reality is a one-loss UGA to a top 5 team on a neutral field is stronger than a one loss Bama by double digits at home and a 2% Hail Mary to beat an unranked team. UGA will have done more over the course of the season and should be in.

Bama is playing the best football in America at this point in time. They will be in the playoffs win a win over Georgia, which is looking ever more likely by the day.

Georgia and Texas are on the outside looking in; the winner of Oregon-Wash is in, with Michigan, Alabama and FSU

Is this the same Bama team that needed an absolute miracle to beat AU?

If the committee actually picked the 4 best teams, then UGA would be in, win or lose. But the final committee ratings are always the 4 most deserving. That's how you get TCU or Cincinnati or ever 2014 FSU.
If Bama wins, then the SEC likely gets left out unless Texas or FSU loses.
