I think they will be since they are #1 in the RPI and #2 SOS,

No thanks. Let Texas or Arkansas have that.

I think it's likely. Texas hasn't won back to back games since last month.

Yes, I think it's pretty much a lock at this point.

You should be. Time will tell if they give it to you.

Talk in other threads that top 16 seeds would be named today. Did that happen? Brackets filled out in tomorrows show.

They should be. Seems like the obvious choice.

Number one in RPI and KPI. If the committee ignores their own criteria, frick’em.

LO fricking L.

We aren't sniffing the #1 seed. We'll be damn lucky to make it out of regional and/or super.

Yes probably. Winning the SEC tournament is a huge deal. Much larger than the SEC regular season. That’s why there’s auto bids off of the tournament and more publicity.

Every conference tournament winner gets an auto bid. It's the same as basketball.

As to Vanderbilt, they'll be the overall 1 seed and would have been even if they lost yesterday. They've been the best team in the country over the last 5 weeks, although UNC might be right there with them.

I don't devalue the conference tournaments like some but to say it's a huge deal or more important than the regular season is clown talk

I've always valued regular season titles a bit more than conference tournament titles.

That said, the regular season title is diminished slightly by the rise of super conferences with unbalanced schedules.
