Yeah, that's why there's a 12 page thread on TR about King when he announced he was transferring

I really don’t see it with Najee coming back and a restocked defense. I think Alabama doubles down on the running game, ball control, time of possession etc.

Definitely think we’ll try to emphasize the run game/balance more this year but doubt we’ll ever go back to the old pro style ball control offense.

I take your point and kind of agree though. One thing I do wonder about though is whether we’ll go deep more. Mac has a cannon and the deep ball has always been his forte. Couple that with the fact that Davonte Smith and Jalen Waddle excel at burning secondaries deep and it could be interesting. Then again, Sark is a west coast guy who loves the short passes

1- No, he qont be. Not because he is bad nor capable, but because of the system and offense we will run.

2- he does not have to be in order to win a National championship.

I suspect that the top passer will be Costello. He has everything around him to do it. If ms st can mount a defense, they will make some noise..... 3 losses

He gets 4/5 offensive lineman returning, including his center and LT.

Same ones that got Tua hurt ?

Najee Harris and Trey Sanders bring a lightning and thunder flavor to the backfield, which could take away from the passing game.

Has Sanders carried the ball in College a play yet ?

No, but he was very impressive in fall camp last year.

None of this will matter because we now have Mike Leach and a grad transfer all conference QB to run the air raid with.

Number one will be Costello and it won't be close barring injury.

I’m not even sure Mac Jones will be the starter at the end of next season

He'll get plenty of opportunities,no doubt.

I'm glad Leach is in the conference, gives me another team to watch without staying up til midnight to do it.

Myles Brennan will inevitably be the best QB in the SEC next season cause he has the best wide receivers in the SEC and the best end in the SEC to throw the ball to and also the best offensive system as well.

It will likely be him or Brennan because both are passing to the most elite receiver groups in the SEC and maybe in the country.

based on receiver talent at both schools Jones or Brennan have as good of an argument a any QB in the sec. Mac has more legitimate snaps than Brennan but Brenan is obviously not crap or he wouldn't have stuck around behind Burrow if he was concerned getting passed on the depth chart.

IMO Bama will be a little more run heavy in 2020. Had Bama gone to Najee earlier against LSU they might have beaten us. DL and Power run defense was a weakness in 2019.. in 2020 the Dline depth and talent will be better than 2019.

Jones, to me, is more McIlroy/Mccarron type. Still very good. Not great. Plenty good enough to make plays and win.

Sec is not loaded with obvious super star QBs with a track record. So who knows.

My two cents
