I don't see the issue at all, I mean in 1999, Chris Weinke (28) won the Heisman, its not like this is a new thing.

Very, very few players to play at Georgia underachieved in college as much as he did. Stafford should have been so, so, so much better than he was in college.
Agreed. Matthew Stafford massively underachieved in college - the most talented QB ever to play at UGA but I would put him behind not only Stetson but behind Aaron Murray, David Greene & Eric Zeier.

Because everyone hates Stetson for being a goober.
Guys his age should be in the NFL.
He sucked when he was college aged, but got better when he was the oldest kid out there. I’m no great QB, but I could dominate some 9th grade kids.

Stetson has a degree. This slam was only valid when LSU folks used in the SECCG game. He got his economics degree in December.
Hooker got his degree over a year ago
Stetson should have been academically ineligible due to progress towards degree completion not being met, but covid saved his illiterate arse.
The NCAA rule is 80% completed towards a degree at the end of year 4. Stetson didn’t have that at the end of year 5

Great call for Fromm. That guy will be out of the NFL very very soon

He's got 3 years in the league. That's pretty, pretty good.
If he gets a 4th, then he is far better than most give him credit (most "just another guy" don't make it past 3. The upside potential of someone younger but worse kicks them to the curb after 3).

Regardless there needs to be a cap on age. 25+ year olds should not be playing college ball. There is a huge difference both mentally and physically from a 25 year old and a 20 year old.

What about 14 year olds and 19year olds in high school?

Don’t know why it bothers you. The fact is that having a QB who is more mature physically and mentally is an advantage. Mac Jones being a senior with little starting experience was very beneficial for Alabama. Nobody saw that coming. It was Bryce’s job mid season according to most of us. Joe Burrow sticking around until his senior year helped lsu tremendously. It’s not an insult.

Hooker: 59% completion 5.9 YPA 132 passer rating
Wow that must have really hurt Hookers season numbers… let me check. Nope, still at 69.6% competition rate. But I bet that killed his rating right? Nope 175.5…(Hooker still had a better completion rate and rating than Bennett despite the Vols playing a tougher schedule). And if you do the per game breakdown Bennett really shows why he was the walkon. Imagine if Hooker is healthy for the Vandy game.
Oh and you have no clue what the Heisman voters actually look at or care about. But I digress.

Holy shite this motherfricker will turn 26 this year. Does he have a doctorate degree or something?
He completed a degree in economics in December of 2022. You?
He will turn 26 this year, after his UGA career. He’ll also be 30 one day, sperm breath.

Most heisman winners don’t have multiple off games in November. Voters tend to vote later in the season when he was sucking it up.

That point is about a single game as you tried to spin it into a good performance because you don’t understand stats well.

This is rich. You are the one who doesn't understand why Bennett made the final.

11/11 14 26 268 53.8 3 1 61 3 170.8 61.5
That’s the 2022 Heisman winner.

11/19 18 30 241 60.0 1 0 35 0 138.5 78.8
That’s your runner up CJ Stroud
11/5 and 11/12 Max Dugan had QB ratings of 35 and 47.
Do you actually look at this stuff or just spew what you want to be true? Because all of them had multiple off nights in November.
Hooker had 1 game with a QBR under 84. He had 1 Int in November. 7 TDs in November. Had a 66.6% completion rate. And missed 1.5 games (and he missed the Vandy game that he would have padded stats in).

The reason is because Hooker is a better pro prospect that Stetson.

Because most fanbases are rational and just let stuff go, and then there are other fanbases who actually get offended by things so people keep saying it.

It's just strange to see college QB's 2-3 years older than Jalen Hurts who's finishing his THIRD YEAR in the NFL by starting in the Super Bowl.

Tide Turds like you just surly that UGA supplanted Bama as the new gold standard and Kirby is Kang.
You guys shoved “1980” down UGA fans throats forever and now you have to shaddup eat a shite sandwich.
So now instead of “1980” the best your weak arse can come up with is “Stetson is too old” or “Stetson doesn’t have a degree” or “Stetson is a Damn drunk”
It doesn’t matter if the QB is 20 or 25 yrs old. Give it an Uckfing rest.
Sorry - Bama is not the center of the college football world anymore and Little Nicky needs a hair transplant and heart bypass surgery.
