Total strawman.

Nobody talked about it being an unfair advantage. It was brought up because it's funny when a grown arse man is playing a game with teenagers.

Or they time you couldn’t figure out why Voters picked Bennett ahead of hooker?

In theory the only advantage would be maturity, but we know how that goes

He's got 3 years in the league. That's pretty, pretty good. If he gets a 4th, then he is far better than most give him credit (most "just another guy" don't make it past 3. The upside potential of someone younger but worse kicks them to the curb after 3).

Hey more power to him if he can stick around as a backup. He looks utterly lost in his little playing time though. He doesn’t look like a career back up. He looks like a practice squad player.

So yeah, whatever your point is more power to him for making a great paycheck when he does not belong on the field.

Stetson’s age was rarely brought up until the 2nd Natty - now it’s been the subject of endless Twitter and Memes.

Maybe a more relevant question - why is it brought up AT ALL? Who the UckF cares? It’s a non-issue and rules are the same for all teams and there are several 23+ yr old QBs

The only reason it’s a topic is anti-UGA fans just want to rag on something and this is the topic dujour for all but the Ohio State fans.

Academic progress standards mean he should either be a grad student or ineligible a year ago.

So you would say that Matt Stafford "didn't really accomplish shite" at Georgia as well?

I’d definitely say that, because he really didn’t.

Ever heard of red shirt years, credits not transferring from jr colleges, and the extra year given due to Covid? There are lots of players getting extra years. Stetson will be getting his economics degree in May. And from what I’ve heard he is smart as hell and an excellent student.
I see you are still smarting over that butt kicking UGA gave UT. Ruining UTs FOUR days of glory.

You really needed something to help you cope with his Vol ownership. Glad you found this imaginary problem to latch onto.

Sure. I’ve also had to meet NCAA requirements to compete. Matriculation towards a degree is a requirement. You have to maintain a GPA, take a minimum number of hours, and matriculate towards a degree. Dude was enrolled in summer I and summer II every year (including his stint at JUCO) and his only degree is an associate degree from the JUCO. These standards are to be eligible to participate and apply to scholarship and non scholarship students. Red shirt and the Covid year do not supersede these standards. The extra year is a post grad year.

Per NCAA guidelines:
Division I

40 percent of required coursework for a degree must be complete by the end of the second year, 60 percent by the end of the third year and 80 percent by the end of their fourth year.
Student-athletes are allowed five years of eligibility and athletically related financial aid.
All Division I student-athletes must earn at least six credit hours each term to be eligible for the following term and must meet minimum grade-point average requirements related to the school’s GPA standards for graduation.

Ole boy should have been given a general studies degree and done post grad work the last two years.

Who cares? He won two championships and was in top 5 Heisman vote

He should be more worried about being the next Johnny Manziel than his age.

If you ever had to deal with compliance questioning your class load and why you changed majors maybe you could participate in this discussion. But let’s be honest, no one ever gave a shite about you or anything you have ever done in your miserable lonely life.

120 hours for a degree. We know he has his associates degree from JUCO (62 credit hours in Mississippi).

12 hours in summer (I & II) and 6 per semester for the rest building towards a degree correct? So 108 minimum after the associates degree. So to be eligible he has to have 170 college credit hours towards a 120 hour degree. And he has no degree? That should have been flagged by both the NCAA and the university and his eligibility ended in 2021. At the very least, if he was meeting the minimum requirements to stay eligible, he has a general studies degree in 2021.

That’s the issue. Something is just not adding up. Add it to the rest of the stuff going on in Athens under Kirby and the questions are really piling up. It’s just another thing that doesn’t make sense that is getting swept under the rug under Kirby.
