Why was Stetson's age brought up continually as if it was an unfair advantage and Hendon

Hooker's mentioned, but never brought up as a negative in the same way?
Bennett: October 27, 1997
Hooker: January 13, 1998
Hooker had five years experience playing games at four year schools, all at the power five level.
Stetson only had four such years.
Hooker was a four star prospect according to 247 out of high school.
Bennett was awarded no stars out of high school and given three stars as a JUCO transfer.
Hooker always played on a scholarship for a Power 5.
Bennett's first year was as a walkon and his second was as a JUCO.

IIRC, Hooker's age was brought up here as well, but I think him getting injured in mid-November sort of put the brakes on any further discussion after that point.

Hooker did not reach the level of jealousy to face the scorn of losing fanbases.

No one cared about Stetson’s age until he won a Natty. Heck, no one even mentioned it until it became likely UGA would go back-to-back.
There is almost no advantage. For most of his 6 yrs on a college campus he was 3rd string with little reps. Heck, 2022 was the first year he got starter reps in summer camp.

Because Stetson kept winning at a high level

Hooker didn’t really accomplish shite at UTk.
Stetson ran through all the contenders like a they were wet paper sacks the last couple of years. Tends to piss people off.

Because we didn't have any other smack to talk about UGA?

Because Hooker won zero championships.

No, that’s not it. Try again.

I'm talking about nationally. There were sports jocks slamming him for it.
And it makes much more sense that a walk on would wind up 25 and still playing, than a scholarship player that never had to work his way up to that level.

Hooker has a degree.
Stetson doesn't.

Hooker’s age was talked about quite often.

It's one of those things that you tend to not dwell on, but then you run across it and you're like "oh, yeah..." Like, if they didn't have to include it in police reports, you probably wouldn't think about it at all.

Can I change my answer? I'd like to change my answer.

People did the same thing with Burrow.
It's a weird excuse for losing to someone.

So you would say that Matt Stafford "didn't really accomplish shite" at Georgia as well? Same # of division, conference and national titles as Hooker. I thought Stafford was pretty good and would never say he "didn't accomplish shite" at UGA.

Stetson isn’t a likable guy. And that offends you guys. Johnny Manziel wasn’t likable, and we could care less. Some guys are likable, some aren’t. That’s life. You guys trying to make Stetson likable by talking shite and putting others like Hooker down, makes him even less likable. Like, dude, that’s out of our control.
