This doesn't exactly do much for your argument...Ohio State beat them 34-0 yesterday. Doesn't matter anyway...In the 2 and 4 team era it did but with 12 now, who cares. It'll get settled on the field.

He’s right. We would love to hear one good reason why anyone where thinks anyone in the SEC is any good. I mean Alabama lost to Florida State and it wasn’t close
You're basing this on one game. Bama's first game with a new QB on the road.
The SEC is a better conference than the Big historically and its not even close...the upper tier of the SEC have been dominant against your conference; Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida and Tennessee all have lop-sided winning records against the B10 in regular games and in bowl games. Even mediocre teams, Mizzou and South Carolina both have winning records against the B10, with SC having a 6-2 record against them in bowls.
UGA has been particular strong against them, with a 12-3 overall record and 11-2 in bowls, and uh...2-0 against the Buckeyes.
Do you think that the SEC has all of the sudden become a weak conference?

This thread, yet again, reminds me why this SEC forum is in dire need of a very thorough Buckeye poster-purging. Gees...
C’mon, we really don’t have anyone else to talk to.

I think they are FAR worse at the top than they have been the past 20 years.

Little bit longer road for those that maybe are mis-seeded but does it really leave anyone out that are 13 and 14? Very few common opponents to use for seeding so 1-12 so why not just toss the 12 in a hat and where they land connotes their seeding. That about as scientific as the system we use today.
OSU and Indiana will lose their first game in the CFP imho

They are undefeated. They pass the eye test. On paper they are one of the most talented rosters in the country.

And Iowa blanked Wisconsin 37-0 at Wisconsin
Comparing games only matters if its direct H2H
I dont think the B1G is as bad as most of the board would think (they have better QB play), but IMO its irrefutable we are the better overall conference. Take a average conference team (i.e. 4-4 conference play), and I think they would go 5-4 or 6-3 in the B1G most likely.

Didn't Mizzou beat the Buttpies in the 2023 Cotton Bowl? I know you were missing players, and Mizzou wasn't, which wasn't true? Vandy has a 50 yo QB, like OSU had last year. Both teams, this year, could clean up in B18. Oh, yeah, Mizzou beat Iowa in the Music City Bowl last year, too! Ha ha

How good is Oregon? The best team they beat is.....Northwestern!

OSU is coasting on the last of the Covid holdovers and front loaded contracts. They held out longer than most. It will end in another year or two.

Well, no kidding. Bama's top recruits a couple years ago, Downs and Sayin, are the Buttpies best players, and Haynes, RB for Michigan, was a transfer from Bama too. Talent is far more dispersed, which as this Mizzou likes. It sure beats the only 4-5 teams get all the talent and matter era!

We think it has always been this way, when in fact the era of the "Blue Bloods" began in the 1970s. It will end this decade.

All of that was before openly paying players via NIL.

You know why your conference's marque game is at noon? Because it's a trash product that few watch. SEC teams draw eyes, and maybe if B1G had better teams people would tune in. Until then I will see the state University of Ohio fans use mental gymnastics to create good wins for themselves.

Defending national champs and all that probably has a little to do with it.
