Then there should be no more complaining about our schedule. We are trying to do the right thing by beefing it up. Sure we can replace Alabama with Akron, but when we go 11-1, the howling will continue from down South.
We’ll take repeatedly beating you and still in the playoffs over this ‘dethroning’
I don’t dispute this, but giving the wonky seeding last year, we were actually like the 6th seed.
Top game viewership past 2 years, see a pattern?

1. Ohio State vs Notre Dame- 22.1 million
2. Ohio State vs Oregon - 21.1 million
3. Ohio State vs Texas - 20.6 million
4. Ohio State vs Michigan - 18.4 million
5. Ohio State vs Indiana - 18.3 million
7. Penn State vs. Notre Dame - 17.8 million
8. Arizona State vs Texas - 17,2 million

Don’t see Alabama or Georgia on the list…must be a niche market
Yep they did. I was there and couldn’t help but smile at their jubilation to end the 1967 big ten title drought and 30 straight against us (1988).

What CFB is all about
We have played in them all and won all of them EXCEPT, the Peach Bowl…damn you Jawja
Big Ten Championship Game is the most-watched conference championship game ever (18.3 million) surpassing the 2009 SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Florida, which was also a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup and drew 17.97 million viewers.

The BiG Title game was only surpassed this year by Ohio State- Michigan’s 18.4 million viewers. The SEC championship garnered 16.9 million viewers, surpassing the early season Ohio State-Texas game at 16.6 million.
Over the weekend. They mentioned that Bill Mallory was Indiana's winningest coach in Big Ten games. He won 39 BIG Ten games in 13 years! Averaging 3 wins per year.

Cignetti has 18 in 2 years.
I was at the game Saturday. Truly remarkable if you have ever followed Big Ten Football.

The IU crowd was just beyond jubilation at the end. First BIG title since 1967. Joy everywhere.

As an OSU fan, the missed opportunities hurt but as a lover of CFB, you couldn't help but smile a bit.

I was praying for the 3rd seed. I’d rather have ole miss/tulane
Now we get A&M in Texas?
#1 vs #2 about to slide into the Top 3 this weekend.
Top 3 for OSU.
If they win, Rose Bowl will Top them all!
He can just transfer Jan2 if Tenn doesn’t let him out of the NLI
Same as Julian Sayin
So are you hosting us next year or not?
Seems like you want out
I haven’t been back in Austin since our 24-7 drubbing in ‘06
Here we are, leading cfb with the toughest schedule :rotflmao:

7- Bowl eligible opponents
I think the committee raises ND above OU this week in ‘preparation’ for this, siting OU offensive struggles, and ND’s ‘complete performance’. Watch…
Ohio State about to have both #1 and #2 games.
And potentially #1, #2 and #3 after next week if we make it to the BIG vs Indiana
Think OSU-Michigan matchup might just rank up there in ratings.

And if OSU holds serve, the BIG Champ game (OSU- Indiana) will likely outdraw the vaunted SEC game…..

I thought this was about students ditching northern schools in favor of southern ones

This…. UK is about 65 miles from Cincinnati. Also, UK is a ‘safe’ school in the region when kids can’t get into a BIG school.
I agree that the SEC was wildly entertaining this year. But for me, the parity is something new and exciting in the league. From an Outsider POV, Before this year it has just been Alabama or Georgia winning every year for 10+ years (save 2019).
Hadn’t been that exciting- so not different

You must not have lived in Akron, Cleveland, Toledo or Cincy. Those are horrible (yes I lived there).

C’mon smokin Joe, don’t put Cincinnati in that lot
Just not Georgia - Bama, again.

Perhaps A&M - Georgia, two best teams

Or Ole Miss, just to keep the Lane insanity going
