fyi, you said he "abandoned" his team. He took a job promotion when it became available. His previous employers did not want him to finish the current project he created. The end.

I understand what you're saying about the perception of LSU being the better job. However, inn this environment today where Indiana wins an NC who knows where the "better job is.". No AD with any sense would have let Kiffin coach in the playoffs knowing all the circumstances.

Sure, but this is about Kiffin's perception. He could be right, he could be wrong. We'll see in coming years.

I agree. But you can't forbid him to coach and then say he quit on the team. By that logic, everyone that takes another job quits on their team.

It's absolutely Kiffin's right to go to another job. It's also the AD's right when he's informed that he has decided to take another job to say, no you can't coach this team in the playoff run. In my mind and I truly believe if you were in this same situation you would see it as he quit on his team. He is an excellent offensive coach but not a true players coach. When he talks about the team as, they have the opportunity to be good, rather than we have the opportunity to be good, it goes to the heart of the matter.

Don’t be an idiot. Kiffin knew, in no uncertain terms, that he couldn’t stay on if he was leaving. He chose to leave. You can’t have it both ways. This has been beaten to death. He made a decision that amounted to quitting on his team, and then acted the petulant child because he couldn’t have his way.

Because it’s week 4? Don’t get me wrong, very few, if any, have wowed me and “the Sip” has the best resume so far. But, they were down to the wire with Louisville and blew a 24-7 halftime lead, at home, against LSU. Let’s let the season play out. With Florida, Mizzou, OU, UGA, Texas, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Vandy left, there’s plenty of ways it can play out.

Perhaps an anomaly? Just look at the past few champions other than Indiana.
Also, take a look at the top 15 rankings…other than IU, Ole Miss and I guess Texas Tech, it’s pretty standard ….
I’m not seeing a lot of Colorado State, Purdue, Duke, Minnesota, and Boston College in there …

Question for an Ole Miss fan
I thought for sure that the fans were gonna storm the field. As soon as the game ended, what was the reason they didn’t?
Is it just hard to do with that stadium? Was security really tight? Was it just a consensus not to do it?
