You guys can say whatever you want, it just isn't factually true.
Kiffin didn't quit on your team any more than Sumrall or Chesney quit on their teams.
Anyone with a brain can understand the differences in the situation and why Ole Miss did what they did, but the decisions to leave were no different functionally.
The school's reaction was the difference. Ole Miss fans aren't angry because he "quit on the team", they're angry because he left. Just say that.

Well he hurt Ole Miss pride, and they seem to view that as a sin or something.
Which is understandable. I'm sure some LSU fans will react the same if he leaves Red Stick.
