re: Who to hire for attic fan installation?

I think it’s because of the minimal amount of venting
You need to increase soffit venting and maybe add a whirlybird or two. Without doing those and instead adding a powered fan, you will be putting your attic in a negative pressure and start sucking conditioned air from inside your home from around every light fixture and crack.
Powered attic fans are almost NEVER the right solution and in many situations, greatly increase energy usage.
re: Would you give up central AC if it meant the south gets depopulated?

I could eventually get used to sleeping without it again, what I would have a really hard time with is the humid house and the crap that come with it. Mildewy walls/furniture, caked up salt shakers, leather shoes turning into a science project, guns much more easily rusting......

Reduce the number of kids on scholarships, cut funding for extra curricular activities, oh and reduce non-teaching staff roles.
what makes you think these all aren't already being done? You think the first move was to cut teachers
Next year there will be a lot less scholly students, fyi.

So what else should be done that would fix the problem other than reducing the biggest expense (staff)?
This feels like people being mad a Musk for trying to reduce deficit by cutting Fed jobs. As if we have some other non-mean way to reduce spending.

I don't like tips and don't like tipping culture. That said, I understand its how many restaurant employees make ends meet and on the rare occasion I patronize a restaurant, I know I'm expected to tip. Just part of the deal.

re: Amazon removes options to sort customer reviews by Most Recent. (Edited)
Posted by Turnblad85 on 4/28/25 at 5:58 am
That would suck as it's my go-to way of seeing how many reviews are fake.
I have noticed some product pages don't have the "recent" option on the main page and others do. But I get around this by going to the more dedicated review page. There you can sort by number of star reviews and recent/relevant.
This is all on desktop fyi. I wonder if sellers have the option of the "recent" reviews being on the main page?

What makes this bad isn't that she was a woman pilot, its bad because she was likely put into a position where she wasn't qualified for because she was a woman and DEI helped her kill those people.

wonder how/if they get around the safety stuff? Airbags and extensive crash testing are expensive as hell.
There needs to be something like this especially for the poor people of the world. Wish the epa would get shot down and this could be a gas truck though. Not with current rules though.

I don't blame insurance co's wanting to see what they are covering. I sure wouldn't want to be responsible for a structure sight unseen.
