I actually think Lane will stay in Oxford and loves it. I have this weird feeling that Lane actually enjoys literature and will fall in love with the southern literature that eminates from the bowels of the Oxfud Squaa'a and will do something really cool like start working on a masters degree in literature there
Would be something cool his kids could feed off of and the Ole Miss fan base would fricking love it

shite he could win the Natty this year at Ole Miss…Our offense is loaded.
Most likely won’t, but don’t act like he can’t win one at Ole Miss.
I see is losing to Bama and winning out.

Because everybody leaves Ole Miss.

He'll probably get into burning barns and metal detecting around Frenchman's bend too. May even take up sewing machine repair.

1. He’s a coaching mercenary.
2. Ole Miss is mid/bottom tier SEC West and not a destination job.

It’s a new world. Every SEC school, save one or two, is a destination job. Can we recruit nationally? That’s the question. If the answer is yes then you have a pretty good combination of marketable brands and no real reason to leave for other college jobs. The NFL is a different story. He will give that another shot at some point.

When it's not about being paid situation, come back to me. People wanted Mullen's weird arse and it didn't fall through. That's why he fired his agent and went to Sexton.
You have a coach that bailed on Tennessee after one year for greener pastures.

Next stop is probably LSU.
Na - we can give him the financial support he needs without having to steal it from a children's hospital

The SEC money and in state talent in most of our states says differently.

Ok, I’ll play… because there are a CRAP TON of better jobs.

Lane has no loyalty. He loves the spotlight, the bigger the better. He most probably will make a stop at LSU on the way to working himself back into the NFL. Has nothing to do with Ole Miss, it's just who he is (it's not you, it's me...).

Lane left Tennessee after one season for his dream job.
His dream job left him on the tarmac after 3.3 seasons.
Lane left Saban after 3 seasons for another HC opportunity.
Lane left FAU after 3 seasons for another HC opportunity in the SEC.
His reputation seems to come solely from him leaving Tennessee after one season for his dream job?

Just like it’s a foregone conclusion that Mullen was going to leave State, no one wants to stay in Mississippi. Kiffin will get the Ohio State job in 4 years or maybe Miami.

In a vacuum the LSU job would be rightly coveted, but he’s been the guy trying to clean up an ncaa mess at a coveted job before. I doubt he’d want to do it again. Michigan, Ohio State and Alabama. That’s probably the entire list of teams he’d leave for.
Dont be naive. If LSU came after Lane, he would leave ole miss. Thats a promise.
