Why is it a forgone conclusion that Lane will eventually leave Ole Miss?

Ole Miss and LK are an absolute perfect fit. You can win at OM. You can recruit to OM. Ole Miss could muster up a top 10 salary if contingent to him remaining in Oxford.

The all too common rebuttal I’m getting around here is “Enjoy it Rebs, he’ll be gone much sooner than later.” I just don’t see it. This is a low pressure gig in comparison to the majority of other ‘big’ jobs around the country. If he has the season he’s poised to have, Corral finishes with the accolades that it looks like he’ll receive - the programs national recognition will skyrocket.

He’s not going anywhere. Destination job.

Lane is Lane. Always looking for a better place. Next stop is probably LSU.

You almost sound like State fans about Mullen. No, you sound exactly like them.

He left a Tennessee program with Fulmer’s hotdog fingers laced all over it for his dream job . Just zero substance behind this preconceived Kiffin narrative

Yeah, but will he remain happy on a steady diet of just OM party girls? California’s hotties lured him away from Knoxville. Can they do it to Oxford, too? I’m betting they can.

Why didn’t he stay at Alabama w less responsibilities where they’d win it all every year? Dude likes to move around and most times it’s because of his problems, not him getting rewarded.

In a vacuum the LSU job would be rightly coveted, but he’s been the guy trying to clean up an ncaa mess at a coveted job before. I doubt he’d want to do it again. Michigan, Ohio State and Alabama. That’s probably the entire list of teams he’d leave for.

He’s gonna leave for a team he’s going to beat the shite out of?

Makes zero sense

Surely you are joking.

Other than the guy busted with strippers Ole Miss has had one decent coach in my lifetime, and he left for Auburn.

If Kiffin proves he's good enough for the bigtime he'll find a bigtime program.

Mullen was never a good fit for State. He was just stranded there for nearly a decade because no one else wanted his weird arse. It's a completely different situation.

He can win national championships at LSU, he’ll never be able to do that at ole miss. Seems like a simple enough reason to leave
