As I said already, USCe is our guaranteed #3

4 and 5 are Ole Miss and Vandy

George why are you asking us? Just bring it up at next REC meeting. ??

For what it’s worth, I keep hearing the “if it’s not broke don’t frick with it” argument. It obviously benefits Bama and since we have not missed a single playoff the SEC overall at least financially.

Everyone is also waiting to see what they do with playoff expansion, which is what 2023?

Only thing bad is that Auburn has the toughest perm rivals, but those 3 games are the most important

That's just Pat Dye's old "Amen Corner". We're good with it.

I answered your question re: why that game stays no matter what

it stays because THEY will demand it; it is the most important game on the schedule for them

we have played them 71 times (one of our most frequent opponents) - we played them every year from 1958 to 1989 (took a 2 year break, and then they joined the SEC)

who would you rather keep as #3?

the only other schools that somewhat make sense historically are Ole Miss or Vandy; I'd rather keep Cocky on the sched

Miss. since I know they were our 2nd perm in the expansion in 1992.

& what's the history of UGA/Vandy?

Is it schools that are complaining about these issues or fans of the schools that are doing the complaining?

Dissolve Big 12. Go to "Super 4" 16-team conferences.

TCU might sue somebody... and they are pretty powerful in that area...

There are 65 current P5 teams if you count
Notre Dame

More likely the conferences expand at the next TV deal to 5 16 team conferences.. that’s 80 teams. And with the GORs in every conference except the SEC those expansion teams will be from G5 more than likely. The online streaming takeover and tv deals will want more inventory than Roll Tide-War Eagle & Walker and Bo documentary.

The AAC is made up of 11 teams all in major markets, you add Boise St, Byu, AF, and Colorado St and you are at 80.

The SEC folds Tulane back in and adds ECU( culture and North Carolina)

ACC, adds Notre Dame full time and Cincinnati ( basketball and OSU would complain to B10)

Big 10 takes Temple and Navy to expand MD/VA area and Philadelphia

B12 takes- UCF, USF, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU and Houston

PAC-12 adds obviously , BYU(UTAH), CSU & AF (Colorado), & Boise they are actually closer to Washington ST than they are about anyone in the WAC

Use POD model, 5 automatic qualifiers.. or actually leave CFP as is. Take top 4 teams if you like

Championship Games need to go away

bullshite,it's a huge revenue producer and puts the SEC in the spotlight.

It's flat out silly to do away with a tradition like that

Is it strictly the uniformity and clean cut nature of having 2 division winners play in a championship game?

Go back to 12 teams and schedule as we did pre-2003.

Go back to 10 teams and play a round robin. Go to 13 games and get rid of the conference Championship games. (More money) Have 6 conference winners and 2 at large make the expanded playoffs.

13 games? Guess you forgot the 4 with in-state ACC rivals. Sr o you're for a 14 game (minimum) season...& then post-season?
