This guy gets it!!!

Georgia, does NOT want to end perm c-d rivalries & has the in-state ACC opponent.

Going to 9 games only gives us 2 slots to schedule anybody.
On top of that, we'ld have to HOST those 2 games EACH YEAR just to keep a 7H season @ Sanford Stadium.
This last issue also applies to UF, USC, & UK.

To their point, the SEC KNEW it was going to expand & therefore came up with a LOGICAL schedule rotation.

That & 14 teams is too difficult to work out with all the rivalries/must play annual games the SEC has.

& then you've screwed UGA, UF, USC, & UK by only allowing them 2 slots to schedule anybody. & having to HOST those 2 games EACH YEAR to have a 7H season.

& having to sort all 14 teams against each other due to lack of common opponents on their schedules.

Go to 4X4 pods (16 teams) & change up the pairing each year. You've played everybody in 3 with H/A in 6.

SECCG contestants
Y1: AB winner vrs. CD winner
Y2: AC winner vrs. BD winner
Y3: AD winner vrs. BC winner
Y4-6: same but home team flipped

A - who are your 5 teams for each school?
B - guess you don't see how 4 SEC E schools CAN'T go to 9 conf. games

What about the long history of annual games that you've just trashed (like MSU/Alabama)?

Competitive balance is more important.

OP's idea is as good as there is out there.

There's no perfect way to do this, but the way we do it now is fine.

Wrong. How we do it now is a joke actually.

The RS doesn't take into account SEC E teams with in-state ACC rivals.
Also, it doesn't factor some annual MUST PLAY games (like MSU-Ala.)

For example of these game threads:

Vandy - Tenn. - Ala. - Aub. - UGA - UF
Miss. - MSU - Ala. - Aub. - UGA - UG

That way a school like Ole Miss will never have a cross divisional schedule with say Vandy, Kentucky, and South Carolina.

As it stands next year Aggie gets South Carolina and Vandy

You Auburn and Georgia people can keep your precious DSOR by swapping AU and Mizzou. There you go dude. Now do away with all permanent cross divisional games.

Oh how wrong you are! For Aub. to come East, TN would have to go West (NOT Vandy & NOT Mizz.) because the SEC will NOT end DSOR nor TSIO.

So, now you still have Mizz. in the East & solved NOTHING!

Ok George but you know the LSU fans have a valid point about it not being fair for them to have UF every season and us have Tennessee. It’s a valid argument and I agree with them. Plus I’d like us to play the other east teams more than once a decade.

& UGA plays Aub. more often.
& Kentucky vs. Mississippi State
& Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt

Sorry, but c-d games can't change that fact. Just because Les Miles bitched about wanting to play a (currently) easier TN than in the 90's isn't a valid reason.

Why couldn't you move Missou to the East?

& HOW are you keeping DSOR an annual CONF. game?

& so is tradition (being important). Just because you don't think something is valuable doesn't mean the rest see it that way.

Why?

Aub. East & Tn. West

Ala.
Ark.
LSU
Miss.
MSU
TA&M
Tn.

Aub.
Fl.
Ga.
Ky.
Mizz.
SC
Vandy

You have now gotten rid of the most historied c-d games by putting those teams in the same divisions.

HOWEVER, as you can see, Mizz. is still sitting in the East.

So, what would be the next step to you?
