my guess would be the ugly uniforms and ugly stadium.

Because your Stadium atmosphere rivals that of a dentist's waiting room.
Serious answer?
The UF game is always a Neutral Site
You haven't been playing LSU or Bama cross division.
Auburn has been at night.
The rest of the SEC East has been down and draws the Noon slot when playing at Top 5 UGA.

Vince Dooley, as AD, had a policy of no night games after 11/1 unless dictated by TV.
In his latter years, he adopted a policy that, unless dictated by TV, games would be day games after reviewing the number of fight and medical calls per game. They go up the later the kickoff and the hotter the weather.
TV dictates most of the kickoff times now.

I think ABC has the rights to the UGA-Tech game every year, at least for a very long time. They decide that is always their noon game on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. That's where ABC decided that game would be scheduled. So there's one annual game that is automatically at noon.
Then there's the Florida game. That is always the CBS 3:30 game, as far back as I can remember. There's another game out of consideration.
Then, you get all these other regular season UGA vs SEC matchups, and when they are good matchups, CBS (with first pick of the litter) always snaps up. So there's a few more games a year with no chance of being a night game.
Then you have the matchups that people outside of UGA fans don't really give a shite about, cupcakes etc, and no network wants those in prime time. I supposed we could have more of those as night games if we were ok with being in streaming mode and not actually on TV.

UGA doesn’t want that electric bill for lighting up the stadium.

There is nothing wrong with having a good opening band before the Headliner takes center stage.

Uga has a 7 PM bedtime and needs insulin before bed

I think the late afternoon games with fall colors seen from open end of stadium as the sun sets in the West is quintessential college football. And yes, usually the night games are Auburn who sucks of late and USC. And the gig OOC game which was a neutral site this year. Again, Athens has enough to do to keep one occupied after a late afternoon game.

EVERYTHING is dictated by TV and never heard of this so called "policy"

Complete bullshite. The only thing remotely similar to the truth here is agreeing not to play the WLOCP at night because some incidents after night games in Jacksonville.
Once again, the only grain of truth to what you're saying was their long standing policy of 1:00 kickoffs before lights were installed in '82 and then TV getting involved because he wanted to give fans who had to travel from South Georgia a chance to get home at a decent time after the game. ALL that went out the window once TV became heavily involved.

Georgia’s a blue state, and night college football games are ranked right behind fossil fuels and cow burps as a major contributor to the crimate clisis.

In reality, it's about TV rights and best bets for primetime ratings.

I don’t get the obsession with night games. I enjoy college football under a sunny day just as much if not more than under the lights.

Yeah, when I was in school in Athens, there was a cap for kickoffs regardless of TV. I think it was 7:00 PM.
So we occasionally had games on ESPN with a 6:59 kickoff because of that. Never had the 7:30 ESPN2 games.

Several night games were played in the 80's past 7:00 (Clemson,Bama,UCLA) I
I don't believe any school ever dictated kickoff tome to networks.
What time period are you referring to?
