South Carolina running back Sam Williams-Dixon was arrested and charged with three counts of breaking into motor vehicles, three counts of criminal conspiracy, and one count of grand larceny involving property valued between $2,000 and $10,000. The charges stem from allegations that he participated in a series of vehicle break-ins in the Columbia area earlier this month.
According to reports, Williams-Dixon and his younger brother are accused of breaking into three vehicles between June 7 and June 12 with the intent to steal valuables. The case remains ongoing, and the charges are allegations that have not been proven in court.
In response to the arrest, South Carolina announced that Williams-Dixon has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities in accordance with athletic department policy. The former Ohio State transfer had joined the Gamecocks earlier this year and was expected to provide depth in the backfield heading into the 2026 season.
