LSU has a long history of night games in Tiger Stadium.
What history does UGA have?

No... Bama in fact copied us.

I went to Athens just to see what it was like, and you played Kent State at noon. We played New Mexico the same week, but that was still a night game. LSU in particular does not like day games, we were pretty mad about the Tennessee game kicking off at 11 AM local time. But someone has to do it.

A history of not having night games.
Like I said earlier, when I was a student at UGA, we couldn't have games starting after 7:00 ( I think... may have actually been 6:00). We had games starting at 6:59 because of that.
It wasn't until around 2000 that restriction was removed.
Doesn't really apply anymore of course. We've had plenty of late games in recent years and the atmosphere has been excellent. Especially ND in 2019 (first LED game for UGA I think).

Complete bull shite. The only thing remotely similar to the truth here is agreeing not to play the WLOCP at night because some incidents after night games in Jacksonville.
Once again, the only grain of truth to what you're saying was their long standing policy of 1:00 kickoffs before lights were installed in '82 and then TV getting involved because he wanted to give fans who had to travel from South Georgia a chance to get home at a decent time after the game. ALL that went out the window once TV became heavily involved.
Yeah, okay.
The info came directly out of Vince Dooley's own mouth as he remarked that Chuck Horton was the best salesman ever.
There was also a time before every game was televised.

I remember one!
That black jersey game Coach Richt dreamed up, vs. Bama.
0-31 at halftime later...
the only thing lower than UGA's night game count was the TV ratings.

I remember UGA got a night game against Bama in 2008. It was one of the few road games I've been able to attend only because it was down the road (we lived in Lawrenceville at the time).
It was a pretty fricking awesome game, I have to say.

don’t get the obsession with night games. I enjoy college football under a sunny day just as much if not more than under the lights.
It is a different home crowd.
I'm surprised you don't agree with that.
With ticket season ticket requirements, you see the wine and cheese crowd at a lot of day games.
Night games, those same people are lubed up and ready break shite (or they don't share the tickets with younger fans because they may be exposed to things).
