I will give you the real answer, but its not what yall wanna hear. Lane is an innovator. He's obsessive. He's always looking for an edge. So, he ends up being ahead on things then reporters find those things out and put it out there. Then, the rest of the sport catches up and everyone looks stupid when we all find out that everyone was trying the same thing. He just got there faster.

Kiffin is an extremely corrupted character. For all his abilities and expertise that character problem eventually oozes out.

I don't necessarily think he will, I hope he will though. He showed to be pretty successful at FAU and Ole Miss, the thinking is that he can be more successful with more resources.
Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.

The arguments that he hasn't won anything are basically that he didn't win anything in year 1 of a rebuld at Tennessee, no big deal to me.
Then, he didn't win anything at USC, where he had a postseason ban for half the time he was there, and roster sanctions. Again, no big deal to me.
And sure, he didn't win anything at Ole Miss. I don't know how realistic that is, I guess we'll see in the coming years.

Not only that, but how many coaches have won a national championship before the age of 51 and what era was it in? Where did Les Miles win big before LSU? Or Saban? Or Orgeron?
Also, the thread is about the controversy surrounding Kiffin. There is no controversy about his coaching record. What an absurd reaction to have.

He was the OC at Alabama because nobody would hire him as a head coach and he had to rehab his image.
That makes it a prominent step in his career.
