You being in a conference that had soccer and it being a cheap sport to maintain so it probably didn’t get cut is a stupid take? Y’all need to drop that acc Jan Brady schtick, like you said it was forever ago.

In the opulent 80s, schools were ADDING women's sports about as fast as they could for Title IX. Guess as we've gotten so ridiculously opulent on football that it's no longer possible to maintain a balance by spending more on women.


Gotcha, I thought it was about equal representation of sports offered but it’s about spending

I'm really hoping that the SEC adds women's flag football soon. It has become very popular in the high schools. Do I want to watch this crap? Hell no, but it would free up schollys for Men's soccer.

Not sure..would think it is just a way to even out the ratio of Male-Female sports.

Title IX is not preventing any school from adding any sport. It’s just a matter of priorities and preferences.
