They deserve the same rights and freedoms of anybody else.

The NFL is now the biggest promoter of gambling

They even have a team in Las Vegas now!

Hmmm, feels like a post trying to rationalize something that pretty much everyone sees the problem with.

Feels like gambling on a game you are playing in could be a slippery slope.

But I am not one to judge the OP for his thoughts on this matter

agreed. if congress participate in the stock market then players should be able to gamble

but to answer your question, players gambling affects the script pushed out by the NFL in the preseason.

Where was this reasoning and sympathy from you LSU fans when Calvin Ridley was suspended for a year in the NFL? How many threads did we have that day of constant trolling from you guys on this?

You think Congress would pass laws to make themselves less rich than they already are?

I wouldnt care if a player was betting his team would win (without points, just straight up win).

But if its by a certain number of points or to lose and that should be illegal.

To be very clear

I do not give one frick about Boutte

Most overrated WR from LSU in my opinion

My post is about the direction of the sport.

They deserve to be paid (NIL)
Who made up this rule?

We’ve been on the slippery slope

And it’s going downhill fast

I just hope LSU can get a couple more Nattys

Before it’s over

Gambling has been going on for a long time in college sports.. I had a few college playing friends who “played” for Las Vegas..one even told me to never bet on college basketball… he knew…

NCAA players can’t bet on any sport at all. Their sport nor any other sport, or league. Is an NCAA mandate.

Yes, a lot of kids violate that but if they get caught they are screwed.

Of course I see the problem with it

I saw the problem with bama cheating for decades

And on steroids under saban

I saw the problems with nil

Hell
The nil company paying millions of $$$ to players
Could say….”we need to lose this game”

My point is the sport is seriously becoming

fricked up

We know the NFL has been a charade for years

CFB is definitely fricked up, but if Luther Burden was accused of the same thing, would you have made this thread?
