I automatically assume that every charity is fraud now
Unfortunately that is often the case. My charity, Here to Serve, even runs into difficulty in finding places that will allow us to setup. They just KNOW we are a scam and will swindle them somehow. We usually try to setup in a church parking lot because they are usually large lots and have multiple entrances so we can deliver food in a drive through method. But often they believe we are a scam or fraud.
Sometimes it helps if I give them references of places we have been to before. We also work with EMA's and they can sometimes help us find a place.
I am in charge of finding locations, I try to have these contacts and agreements in place before a storm hits. After a storm it is hard to make contact and the everyone is busy with recovery. I have some contacts but not nearly enough. We will respond anywhere within 10 hours of Tuscaloosa, so thats Houston to Charleston to Tampa.
If you have a connection or a place where we could setup someday if the need arises please contact me at info@heretoserveinc.org. I would love to have a point of contact.
We are a 501 c3, and have zero paid employees, in addition to those of us who cook, even our banker, CPA and lawyer are all volunteers. Absolutely every penny goes to food, supplies and equipment. And we can only exist with donations.
And people who commit the types of fraud as this lady did with Toys for Tots, should receive the harshest punishment possible.

Well their religion allows (promotes) slavery, especially for infidels.
There are still millions of slaves, many of whom are in northern africa and are held my Muslims.
Anything that denigrates that horrific, evil religion should be applauded.
Islam is the work of the devil, not God.
re: 18-Year-Old US Citizen Dies of Cancer With His Parents by His Side
Posted by alphaandomega on 5/13/26 at 10:29 am to Jbird
I assume his parents were not legal and the kid was born here and that made him a citizen.
I wish that were not true. If someone is a criminal (and an illegal alien is a criminal) their children should not be rewarded for their parents crimes.
He should not have citizenship.
I am sorry for his medical condition, cancer is an awful disease, but he is reaping the rewards of his criminal parents.

Give me a new straight side GMC truck with real buttons, a normal shifter and normally aspirated V8 that gets 10 mpg and doesn’t turn off at every red light if I want it .
And require makers to design cars that have certain parts to be easily repaired.
- Make oil filters and drain plugs in a location that when changing, oil doesnt run all over cross members or frame rails. It drains directly into a pan or bucket.
- Headlights should NOT require removal of bumpers, fenders or huge amounts of plastic shrouds. Replacing headlights should take less than 5 minutes.
- Car batteries in an easily replaceable location. Not under a seat or buried under the spare tire. For years they were under the hood in a spot that could be accessed.
- I would even require belts, spark plugs and coils, and air filters to be easily replaced.
Even if most people dont do these repairs themselves and use a shop, it would drastically reduce the cost and time to do those repairs. Instead of having to remove the engine to get to replace a hose.

I love it when I see elected politicians working hard for the things that matters.
This is certainly more important than working on a budget, passing the save act and other legislation.
Named a road. That's awesome work John!

CNN reports that, according to satellite images, a large oil stain can be seen spreading in the area of Kharg Island - the island from which Iran exports 90% of its oil. Over the last four days, no oil tankers have been observed near the island, so the spread of the oil stain cannot be attributed to a tanker leak or to oil loading processes
Wheres Greta!!!!!

I have no idea about any health issues he may have but as long as he will sit or stand for 30-45 minutes taking unscripted questions from reporters I think he is fine.

In the first days of the fighting, the temps were brutal, often upwards of 100 F. The Japanese had tainted every supply of freshwater on the island, and a shipboard SNAFU had caused the Marines water supply to be stored in oil barrels that hadn’t been cleaned, rendering the water undrinkable. It was literally Hell on Earth for those Marines.
I have seen that episode several times and each time I wonder why we didnt just park a couple of ships off shore to prevent resupply or escape. If all the freshwater was bad, I doubt the Japanese had more than a couple weeks of canned, safe water for their troops.
Just wait them out. Without resupply they couldnt last long.
But Im probably missing something and dont understand.

Im late 50s. Go to a GP doc twice a year, for bloodwork. I am on zero medications.
Go to eye doctor once a year, really to make sure I dont get cataracts or glaucoma.
Go to dentist twice a year for cleanings, have not had to have a filling since I was about 15.
I go to a dermatologist 3 times a year, mainly to check for skin cancer because my father died of melanoma. Thats really the only one I would go to if I had to only pick one.

Hit the electrical substations and high voltage transmission towers and leave the electrical plants intact. That way power can be restored quickly after IRGC removed. By the way. you need helicopters to string the high voltage lines between the towers.
Just take out the high voltage transmission lines that leave the power plants. A few A10's can bbrrrrrrrrrrrttttttt anyone attempting to repair. When regime falls allow the repair.
No need to destroy plants or substations, those could take months to years to replace.
